Wandrd Prvke 21L - Review/Rant - What others don't say about it...

I finally got the Wandrd Prvke 21L,
Maybe because I was too into it, I had so many complaints :)
Just see for yourself, I tried to tell everything that bothered me about it in the video!
I told the reasons why I will keep it too, of course! Hope you will enjoy it!

This is such a good, USER EXPERIENCE review! I really needed this: so many people focus on the positives to justify their purchase but this really is the most useful one for me. Thanks!

Thank you so much for your comment. Glad it was helpful! I feel like people don't like "negative" stuff, but tbh, when I look for a review, the first thing I am curious of is the cons :) Because if I am looking for it, that means I already have some pros in mind :D

Excellent overview of the pros and cons of this bag. I’ve owned the 31L for about a couple years and I agree with everything you said. ESPECIALLY the top quick access pocket and the key pocket. That key pocket can barely fit my hand sanitizer and a few tissues, less than my jeans pocket.

Great review man! Finally a video that's de-hyping this bag and letting us know if it is worth the extreme price of this bag! I have been on and off whether i should be purchasing this bag these last few months, not being sure whether was worth the nearly 300 cap for the smallest of the versions of their bags! Definitely not worth that money with so many flaws! Thanks a lot for this video!

I had to return this backpack because it felt like a bunch of bricks when I put my light Canon M6 in it. I can put the Canon M6 in my normal backpack and it feels fine, I can carry it all day, but for some reason in the Prvke it feels awful after only 15 minutes and no amount of adjusting the straps will make it work. Aside from that I also had all the problems you mention, and especially the camera cube not really fitting properly, it should fit like a glove. I will get this bag again if they add load lifters and the ability to change the strap height, and better pockets. All of the pockets on here are pretty much useless to me, especially the ones which are on the same panel as the laptop compartment.

Hi, great video as i am exploring options and comparing this with peak design everyday v2. Looks aside, m more interested in what u said about the camera cube? Have they changed the camera cube?? In some videos i saw the padding was removable, looks the other way in yours, its this a revised cube design ?? Thanks for letting me know

  • 3 жыл бұрын

Thanks! Yes they've changed it. Sometimes they have a section like "outlet" in their webpage and sell the whole package with the old cube cheaper. And on amazon or other sellers you can find the old cube separately too. I am really curious about peak design bags too... If I had tried I would have comment. But I am sure both would do the trick ;)

I agree with your cons. The benefit of this bag, for me, is the comfortable straps, and I have been able to put a Peak Design clip on it, but it was a tight fit. Otherwise, the camera access is very tight for my Sony A7C, let alone my A1. If you want your camera to be accessible the Peak Design clips are a must.

Thank you! For telling me to save my money on buying the Capture camera holder if I get this bag. As for the photography bundle I am not interested in, I think I would buy a smaller camera cube to put in it. I am not a photographer, I just have my DSLR and two lenses. I do not need a huge cube. I do need a bag that can hold all my pouches, laptop, tablet, and calendar when I am doing every day carry. I am saddened by the news of the Capture, thought it would be a good backpack on a small day hike for that. I wonder if it would work on the daisy chain on the straps?

  • 2 жыл бұрын

I googled a bit after your comment, and there are people who use it on the lens cap holder parts on the straps, but all warned that they are using it for lighter cameras. And I wouldn't suggest it either as they are made for lighter items like lens caps which are cheap too. A camera might be too risky and not worth the try. Another thing I found is that some people manage to fit the capture clip on the straps by squeezing the straps while attaching the clip and not fully screwing. I couldn't manage to do it, but maybe you can :) And lastly, thank you so much for your comment :)

I've managed to attach a peak design capture clip to my first version prvke 21L. All you need to do is squeeze the strap lightly (slightly reducing the strap width) and screw the clip together to hold it in place

I've watched quite a few reviews of this bag and this is the only one where the cube side access doesn't fit the bag side access. Seems like a mistake on Wandrd's end. Did you use your warranty to ask for a replacament?

  • 3 жыл бұрын

The Customer Service is really friendly there, I started communicating before buying the bag, and they always replied to my emails. But when I mentioned and described that issue, they have forwarded me to the tutorial youtube video of theirs... And next step would have been me sending the bag overseas... So I stopped there :) But for what's worth, they are really friendly and I would definitely praise the attitude.

Nice video! I also have one but not the 21L. Got a 31L version. Noticing the same issues but my biggest one would be buying the cube seperately + the prices for the cubes are way too high IMO. Especially for the 31L version. I love the design but I still don't understand why they don't include a cube in it. The other thing that's bothering me a lot is the pocket on the top. When it's raining there will be a small puddle on top of it and the pocket will be wet inside. I tend to keep my batteries and filters in there unless it's raining. I have the bagg now for 1,5 years and I might decide to change it too something else but I haven't figured it out yet. Don't get me wrong the bagg looks amazing and I love the function to use it as a daily travel bag too. However when I'm stuffiing it up with my gear, I still think (For the price) They should've chosen to add the accecoires and cubes in it. Atleast the one with side acces instead of a full botom and top cube.

  • 3 жыл бұрын

The price is kinda subjective I guess and the community seems to accept those prices. But I would agree with you on this. I believe the photography bundle is a bit expensive for what it is. And to be honest, after some time I might decide to change it too. Just don't know with what yet. I would really love to try Peak Designs Everyday Backpack, but I can't... I will probably make a video if I do it though :) *Thanks for the comment!*

@ Think we're on the same line with this bag. Especially the accessoires in the extra bundle aren't that special either IMO. Simple straps etc and the weather seal isn't combined too here in the Netherlands. In the end it will cost me 120 euro more to have it as a real gear bag. Peak design is also very cool! My eye felt also on the lowepro 400 tactic. For example I'm missing extra hip straps for when the bag is really heavy and full. Conclusion it's very difficult hahahaha. Thankyou for replying btw!

  • 2 жыл бұрын

@ I got my light and I’ve had it about a week now. For me it’s the perfect size. I have my Fuji X-T3, X100V and room for 4 lenses. I had the 21 but I never used it. I only opened it and it was a little bulkier than I wanted. The side access is much smoother without the cube. That being said they both seem like great bags. If you need more extra items in addition to your camera the 21 is the way to go but they both hold about the same camera gear and I don’t want any extra weight. I’m very happy with mine.

Hey, do you know if the "bag only" version has some kind of camera department included? Or is just empty like a regular backpack?

  • 2 жыл бұрын

Hi, it's like a regular backpack, only with quick access side zipper. It doesn't have any material that you can stick dividers to, you might find a third-party camera cube to fit but I don't know any. So, the answer is no, it doesn't have any kind of camera-related section without the cube.

For me, the long dividers in the pro cube (31l) are a real pain. If you want to store your camera sideways, with a longish lens, so that it can be accessed from the quick access flap then you cant. The dividers are too long to be fitted in any useful way across the width of the bag. Good video though - thanks.
