    I will never forget the day the world and especially Steely Dan fans lost Walter Becker September 3rd,2017 one of the saddest days of my life Walter was and still is my musical idol only true die hard fans truly understand how incredible and smart and so funny he was to me the heart and soul of Steely-Donald may have been Dan but Walter was Steely!!

    BECKER & FAGEN produced some of the finest most sophisticated music in the 70's - 80's & Two against nature in 2000 ! Vituoso musicians 🎷👏 Lyrics were so scathing , poetry , unique. Timeless music that always was ; produced close to perfection ! 💫

    I got to see Walter and Donald play in COWlumbus, Ohio in 1973 when we ALL were just kids.....and it is STILL Tattooed on my Soul all these decades later! I Saw The Dan of Steel the year before they went on "hiatus" from touring for almost 20 years! I'm grateful for my memories! Cheers Everyone

    I never thought I'd get to see them live during the long dry spell in the 80s and early 90s - but did manage six times between 1996 - 2014. The two best were the first show in 1996 in Toronto on the Art Crimes tour, and 2008 here in Ottawa for Bluesfest. Both rank equally as the best live shows I've ever seen. Still missing Walter.

    Saw them in early 70’s at the Paramount theatre in Seattle.. too bad the idiots that run Washington state destroyed it..I miss Seattle & getting to see legends like Steely Dan in that setting

    Compared to the computer generated same old same old same old same old of today's noise that passes for music, the brilliance of these guys made all the guys ,who grew up when it seemed everyone was into music or actually in a band, realize they couldn't play for shit. These guys made me feel like Salieri hearing Mozart!

    They grabbed the subtle funk, white boy jazz, and commercially packaged it with the wisdom of King Salomon and current culture of a future internet. They could make you feel you were large city hopping in California. 100 times more interesting than NY. But both from NY.
