The softest walnut cream cake ever! This recipe is so simple and the cake is so soft and the filling is so creamy, its great with a cup of tea.
Ingredients:
Vanilla Pastry Cream:
2 cups milk
1 tsp vanilla essence
6 egg yolks
3/4 cup sugar
45g cornstarch
55g butter
Walnut sponge cake:
1 cup and 2 tbsp flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
1/4 cup oil
2 eggs
1/4 cup cold water
4 egg whites
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
cover in whipped cream and walnuts.
