    Hey Rich, just watched one of your videos. My name is Chris and I'm a Walmart driver here in Kansas. Will you please double check your information on using PTO to help boost your ADP. I was taught from a very reliable source that making yourself whole with pto WILL NOT help your ADP. The only way PTO helps boost your ADP is using a half day or full day. I would appreciate it if you could investigate this and let me and everyone else know. By the way, you make great videos! Thanks!

  • @WalmartRich

    @WalmartRich

    15 күн бұрын

    @christopherwhitlock6151 sure hers how it works. If you come in on Monday and you make 200 because it's a short day. (Clock hits midnight) then you work Tues-thursday and make an avg of 500 a day. Friday is a half day and go home and you make 300. You made 2000 for the week. If this is what you do for the 13 pay weeks (Walmart calculates adp 26 weeks divided by 10 or something like that that gives you your 400 adp 2000÷ 5 consistently would be 400. Now if for 4 weeks you make yourself whole on the begining and end of each week your getting 400 Monday 500 Tues through Thursday and 400 Friday you now have 2300 for the week instead of 2000. It won't raise it 100s hundreds but the more pto you have saved the more you can boost it. Also if you can extend or work harder these weeks you boost the pay that goes into the equation. I have done this and raised my adp 30$ in a short time. It's not a lot but every dollar counts because those high weeks stay in the avg over the 13 pay weeks Walmart uses to calculate adp.

    Why is Walmart so possessive of their pretrip docs? You would think that Walmart would welcome it if a driver candidate wanted to take the initiative and study/practice the pretrip prior to onboboarding. It would likely result in a smoother onboarding for the candidate and the trainers.

    Making your day whole "up to ADP" by back filling with a few hours of pto does not get calculated in the ADP calculation. If you finish out 5 days making 2300 dollars and your ADP is $500 and you back fill your last day $200 to get your earnings up to 2500 your adp will go down.

  • @WalmartRich

    @WalmartRich

    10 ай бұрын

    It's based on how they calculate adp on a 5 day schedule. If you average 6 paid days a week and they only calculate it on a 5 day.. that extra day raises your adp. I have done it, and I was taught how to do it by my gtm. I raised my adp by $50 a day using my method.

  • @WalmartRich

    @WalmartRich

    Жыл бұрын

    Many companies slip seat. Unlike places where you drive then , drop a truck and hit in another every day. Here, 3 guys use 2 trucks. It makes it easier than true slip seating because you can share microwaves or cleaning products, or whatever might need to be left in a truck for the next guy. It makes perfect sense when you realize a DC of 250 drivers can get by with 120-150 trucks. Take the avg cost of a truck times 100. Then take that number times everybDC in the US. It's a major savings. It makes perfect sense. I'm glad you found a job you like. 🤔

    I was on the Walmart job listing site and under the Bedford, PA listing this is one of the requirements. Everything i have read or heard before has been that you have to have 30 months experience. Is the Walmart Fleet Development Academy Program a new option they are offering? "Minimum of 30 months experience working in a full-time Class A tractor/trailer driving position in the previous 4 years OR successful completion of the Walmart Fleet Development Academy Program"

  • @WalmartRich

    @WalmartRich

    The walmart academy is only for walmart employees. They have to go through a strict evaluation process. Then they only take 12 people. For a professional driver with a cdlA like yourself you do need 30 months experience

    Can you confidently state how long Walmart gives a driver to relinquish cell phone data/text records from one's mobile carrier? The reason I ask is because not all cell phone providers are the same. Mint Mobile takes more than 30 days for this request.

    Ok so I got 100% accurate info. Walmart gives a driver 48 hours PAID time off to attempt to receive those records. After 48 hours, drivers are given 28 days unpaid to acquire records. After a total of 30 days, termination may occur. Walmart has partnered with AT&T and offers discount on services. Im also told records can be obtained in as little as 24 hours. Some guys have a personal and work cell phone for record purposes.

I do have a second question if I may ask as well, I am close to 200,000 miles of OTR, I do not get the experience of backing much at all, it’s not that I can not do it but I feel training would enhance my capabilities, do they or would they offer training for drivers like myself?

    If you use PTO to adjust you ADP (make yourself whole). Your ADP will only reflect the actual miles and activity for the day. The Adjust ADP will not be calculated in your ADP. Using PTO like that is will not boost your AFP. Check your facts before sharing this information. Trust me, I know what I'm telling you here.
