Walleye Fishing On A New Lake - Spring Fishing

Today we are tackling a new walleye lake. Breaking down new water can be one of the most challenging things to do as a fisherman. In this video I talk about how I find my favorite spring walleye spots. Spring walleye fishing can be a challenging time of year to find fish as they are often very shallow. In this video I use a jig and live bait to get the job done on a very tough bite. Thanks for watching!

I would throw a buoy , when we used buoys , as a decoy and fish 75 to 100 yards away in our hot spot. Boats would pull right up them and drop a line. lol emoji needed

Nice work, dude. I hit that lake around Labor Day once for smallmouth and it was tough fishing. Only caught a couple modest ones. Such nice clear water and rock structures, it sure has a fish-holding look to it. The rusty crayfish are for real in there. DNR surveys suggest a low density of a smallmouth, but with some monsters among them. Need to try it for walleye.

The large 25” Walleye he caught, took 14-16 years to grow to that size. But some dumbass would put it in the cooler thinking the lake is loaded.
