The most romantic scene in any movie. Its just brillant the way he says "not nearly as beautiful as you" but only tells her beautiful. Then gives her the thistle after all those years and it suddenly comes back to her that she gave it to him. Bravo whoever wrote this part is genius

And this moment is why while the princess was lovely and brave, my heart forever belonged with William and Murron.

Her reactions are mesmerizing. I believe every little glance or flench of her expressions, so subtle but makes a huge impact.

I miss This feeling, true Love.

Murron was so innocent and pure. Murdered to rile William up. Rile him up it did. Her parents especially her mother at her funeral absolutely heart breaking.

This scene and this background score just so peaceful.........❤

It was not the oppression that drove Wallace to do what nobody could have done. It was his love for her.

As a straight western Scotland male I feel the need to comment on how devilishly handsome Mel Gibson is/was. My man crush deepens.

This is exactly why my mom and dad always say this is their absolute favorite movie Even though they only a few scenes together, William and Murron’s love was pure and true, which makes it even more heartbreaking when they murder Murron for just defending herself and showing her devotion to William but he shows his love and devotion to her by avenging her death and thus lighting that fire to have Scotland win their independence(historical inaccuracies aside though) Even though my folks have been divorced for almost two decades, they still have the same love and friendship with each other and always love talking about this movie and so many others, thus making their own child a massive movie fan

When he sees her at his execution is the best scene of the whole movie.
