Damage is nerfed but we knew the spin mechanic was gonna get nerfed anyway Lee is one of the few characters who can take advantage of this system nerf because he can easily do 2 spin moves in one combo

@iamop can you possibly test if Steves UB3 was changed. Theres a tweet from Numan that indicates it was stealth nerfed but I've been trying to test with prepatch clips and I don't see a difference in distance or frames from the ub3 input.

That is a great find! I don't think this will be nerfed in the future patch because what makes Lee unique is his ability to wall travel. I could be wrong but only time will tell

What is his optimal Heat combo now from df2?

I don't recommend ending the combo with that on Dragunov because he has FDFT 3~d+3+4 which leads to a throw on hit.

I have been labbing the combo but I don't see a use for it when compared to his staple though. You get more damage and slightly more wall carry from his staple. The combo is very stylish though.

So looks like b2 loops is optimal for wall travel again

If you're after the last combo with the wall travel it's DF2, BB4, microdash into D+2, B2 into IWS 2, 4, deep dash into F4,1, then run in into a manual WS2,4

It's the ones where the character doesn't travel that forward and you get a lot time for combo pick up Officially it's called strong aerial tail spin

That’s not an actual buff to me.. a buff is a buff when you change something like Lee’s heat smash which is 15 frames start up with 37 damage only, and launchable on block!

Low HSes are kinda hard to balance. It's just super expensive hellsweeps but buff anything other than damage and oki, it will be busted but still weaker than mid HSes

Kazuya, not sure either of Claudio or Victor, Zafina, Lili.. many characters having low HS and AREN’T launchable.. causing more damage than Lee’s though

@@pureOwarrior Kaz and Paul already have basic versions of their HSes. It would've been worthless for Kazuya to spend whole bar for 10 more dmg, slower hellsweep with no oki Zaf and Lili's activates it from the stance. That's why. Bamco probably could make alternate version for Lee from hitman stance but I guess it will cause nerfs for wr3,4 b4 and etc.

@@ametozukumazu6073As it stands, Lee’s heat is relatively pretty trash. Most other characters get access to new moves or remove limitations, the only thing Lee gets is moves he already has access to except heat smash (turning ws23 into a launcher is great too tbf). I don’t think it’d be crazy to buff heat smash in some way to actually make it worthwhile. It’s pretty much never worth using rn.
