    Can we get an Olafur Arnalds Woodwind Evolutions library to compliment this one some day? It would be a match made in heaven.

    I love these samples and the instrument, however I’m hitting an annoying roadblock where I can’t speed up the attack of the note. I don’t think there’s much around that, but trying to have a moderately sped up orchestra ensemble with this set has proven annoyingly difficult. Having a note take a full second to enter the soundstage is a rather cumbersome issue to work around.

    I don’t have the Chamber Evolutions, but in the first Olafur Arnalds Evolutions (individual instruments) you can control this by lowering the “variation” amount. Usually it starts all the way up, but even pulling it down to 50% makes a huge difference in the attack.

    Does someone own this AND the British Drama Toolkit? Are they very similar sonically (I own the BDT already but I am so driven to this kind of libraries that I wonder if it'll add something different). Advise, please?

  • @MichaelNight

    They may be similar sonically for a non-musician fan/listener. However in actuality they're quite different, both in how they are performed and in their sound. If you're considering this, I'd say go for it. If you're in a difficult financial position, my advice is always "if you can't buy it twice, you cannot afford it".

    I recently bought Olafur Arnalds Chamber Evolutions, and I really love the "sound" from this library. However - I was wondering if there was a way, or anybody has worked out how to "modify" the library, so that it could be used as a standard strings library, without the evolutions? I have been searching for a long time for the best solo strings library, and am left mainly disappointed .... but the "sound" of the OA Chamber Evolutions is exactly what I am looking for, and I would love to use this as a standard strings library .... Anyone got any thoughts on this?! 🙂

    Can anyone explain more ? I don't really get it, what is Notes Centre ?

  • @Justin.Franks

    @Justin.Franks

    4 жыл бұрын

    It is the center of the 5-semitone keyboard range assigned to that particular evo. So for Note Center E4, whichever evo is assigned there will be triggered by D4, D#4, E4, F4, and F#4 (and pitch-shifted to match).
