HNY Steve & Jim 🎉 After falling asleep twice, I managed to wake up in time to see the ball drop. Fireworks and barking dogs may have been the reason. Frey 2 is the boulder house above downtown Palm Springs named that since it was the second home the architect built for himself. Tours are usually available during Modernism Week if anyone is interested in seeing it. The view is amazing! Dates for 2024 are: 15 to 25 February 2024. Paul

New Years Day tradition for me has always been to start the year with a hike/walk. Get out and enjoy the new year before it turns to crap, ha ha! Thanks for the view of your area, Palm Springs is so pretty this time of year!

I love houses and seeing different designs. Terrific idea if you go to different areas to show the architecture of this magical area. Especially for the folks who have been lucky enough to visit like I have. Maybe a trip to La Quinta and a walk around PGA West and maybe tell the history of The Bob Hope Desert Classic. I saw something that fits perfectly...2024 1, get older. 2, gain weight. 3, do stuff. 4, drink coffee 5, try not to die. Achievable New Year's resolutions! :) What a lovely walk with you. I could fit right into Palm Springs, I have nothing but rock gardens here in PA. I've picked up rocks from all over the US and beyond. And I have friends bring me back a rock from places I've not been to and even places I have! The looks at airports if their luggage gets checked! Lol!

We have a couple of bike rental shops here in Palm Springs I’ve been wanting to do it but I can’t find anyone to do it with me. I’m adding that to my list of things to do this year though. Happy New Year Steve! I went to bed around 10:30, then got woken up at midnight by fireworks. Instead of an Apple Watch or Fitbit, look at a Garmin watch. I have one, and its nearly indestructible, also, only needs to be charged less than once a week! I wouldn't mind seeing more of your walks. I love Palm Springs, and it fits nicely with my own New Years Resolution, to travel more and have more adventures.

Happy New Year to you and Jim, Steve. You got me so tired just watching you walk! I love to look at other people's homes. I don't know how thrilled they are about it though. But man oh man, one thing I love are hedges. That is so English! In San Diego we lived on a corner lot and when the kids started cutting through the corner of the lot on their way to school, my Dad grew a hedge in record time that looked like the outline of a half moon. It stopped everyone from using our front lawn as a short-cut. Still miss California bad. But I did stay up for New Years with Anderson and Andy.

Happy New Year🎉 we didn’t stay up late on New Years Eve. Our dog wasn’t too happy with all the fireworks. Be careful out there walking. I’ve made a resolution to exercise at least 10 minutes a day. It shouldn’t be hard as I have a big dog that loves outside . It’s to get chilly this week in Texas, so I’ll be working out inside for the most part.

I like Victorian mansions too but we don’t have any of those here in the desert. Our million dollar homes here are very very simple add modern looking. 😎👍
