Walking Outside And On Board The SS Nomadic Titanic Belfast (Last White Star Line Ship In Existence)

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Whats going on guys?
In this video we are taking a look outside and also onboard the SS Nomadic which dates back to 1911. This ship was built for smaller docks where the larger ships couldn't dock... so it would have carried passengers out to the Titanic etc.
It really is incredible stepping back in time and what an experience walking onboard.
I also learnt that Noahs Ark looking thing, thats a Cassion Dry Dock.
The restoration has been completed beautifully.

    This is probably the closest we'll ever get to once again experiencing life aboard the Titanic herself, unless time travel ever becomes a thing. If only Olympic was saved from the scrapyard, at least we still have this ship.

    Technically you could say that the Nomadic isn't the last White Star Line ship, when the RMS Queen Mary entered service in the 1930's she was owned by Cunard White Star Line, a merge of Cunard and White Star, so technically this makes Queen Mary a White Star Liner. (Though she is mainly remembered for being a Cunarder)

  • @SatyrToon

    @SatyrToon

    I know this comment is two years old, but I have something to say. Yes, the Nomadic IS the last White Star Line vessel because she is the last surviving ship made solely by White Star. When Cunard and White Star merged, they created a new company so any ship made under that company isn't a White Star or a Cunard ship. It would be a Cunard- White Star ship. Her title is technically correct.

  • @FrederickTheAnon14W

    I'm pretty sure that she's permanently dry-docked as shown in the video, I don't believe her engines still work or are even in-place any longer, And putting her out to see would further any deterioration due to the salt-water which is why a lot of museum ships are switching to permanent dry-docks when available. So to answer your question the Nomadic has been kept on land since her restoration.
