Walking in St Albans, England - 4K - Cathedral & Verulamium Park - Historic Roman City

A walk through the historic cathedral city of St Albans, Hertfordshire.
St Albans, located 20 miles north of London, is known for its Cathedral and Abbey, as well as its market.
We begin our walk in Verulamium Park, which is situated on the site of the Roman city of the same name. After walking round the ornamental lake, we stop to look at one of the remaining sections of Roman wall. Proceeding towards the Cathedral, we pass by Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, alleged to be the oldest pub in England.
After walking past St Albans School and the Cathedral, we make our way onto Holywell Hill, one of the main routes into the city. We then come across the medieval Clock Tower, which is surrounded by pubs and restaurants.
We finish our walk by making our way through the Waxhouse Gate, and stepping into the peaceful Vintry Garden.
