At 9:31 is it just me or is the music literally putting the camera out of focus? That’s actually pretty impressive, and I know quite a bit about live sound equipment.

That’s not the music. That’s the cameras auto stabilization. It’s not too great which is why you see that little shaky blur effect

@@NoCluYT Perhaps, but I'd say I found the music too loud when I attend games. Although I admit I'm getting old, hahaha.

You can’t actually walk completely around the Seattle Kraken’s new arena. While it’s nice while watching the game, I find the layout confusing. Lots of narrow hallways and small elevators to get to some seats. This venue is, in my opinion, an example of how arena layout should be done.

The way you describe the Kraken's arena is how the Oilers old barn was. Sold out games you were shoulder to shoulder and couldn't walk around. You'd have to waddle like a penguin.

@@TheCoss10 I guess the Seattle venue isn’t that bad, because they open additional exits at the end of games and concerts. I think one of the biggest issues with it is that they built it mostly below ground, with the east, west and south sides of the upper bowl at street level. The north side of the upper bowl is slightly below ground, and accessed with a hard-to-find elevator. Funnily enough, the footprint of the arena below ground is actually larger than the structure is above ground, with the north upper bowl concourse below an exterior courtyard, which is why it isn’t very accessible. However, I can say the game experience is unbeatable. The arena is fairly steep and close to the action, and the dual scoreboards are closer to the far ends of the arena, making it easier to read for those people. unlike some arenas that echo badly, you can actually hear what the game announcer is saying. I’ve been to arenas where I can’t understand any of the player names when they announce the lineups. (“John Smith” would sound like “Jaw Myth”.) Also, brand new to this venue, they put subtitles on the video boards for the hearing impaired, but they never seem to go fast enough to include every word spoken.

@@djijspeakerguy4628 I think Climate Pledge Arena is a cool project and I hope to visit Seattle some day and check out a game, but I hope somehow some restaurants and bars start to emerge nearby. There's something like 30 or 40 within a block of Rogers Place now, and hopefully as we recover from the pandemic shutdowns, a lot more start popping up.
