In this video, I decided to hike from Ojodu-Berger to JJT Park, Ikeja which is about 2 hours away. I rely on Google Maps for directions throughout the trip. Starting from Ojodu, whish is a busy neighbourhood that connects Lagos and Ogun State. I am surprised by the number of motorbikes and people selling items on the side of the road. I then continue on to Ikeja, the capital of Lagos State.
When I arrived at JJT Park, I was surprised to learn there was a 1,000 Naira entrance fee probably because it was a festive season. I explore the park, noticing the wide open spaces, beautiful scenery, and many flags from different countries. Each flag has information written below it, including the capital, currency, and Independence Day.
I also find private businesses that offer rentals like chairs and gazebos, as well as food and drinks for purchase. There are also public toilets available.
Since it is close to the Lagos State House of Assembly, I decided to check out Governor's Avenue. I feel a little uncomfortable recording here because of security, so I move on. The video ends with me reaching Ikeja Mail, unsure of what to do after checking out the place, I decide it is best to end the video there.
