It is very interesting that you're talking about Walker lawn mower sounds because I live in an apartment complex whose maintenance department has a Walker mower just like this one. It has a normal engine sound when it runs without the blades engaged --- but when the blades are engaged the mower makes a strange, almost musical kind of hum that sounds almost as if two brass horns are playing one continuous double-note in complete harmony with each other, and when this mower deck sound is mixed with the engine sound at random while the mower is mowing, it sounds almost as though some kind of orchestra were playing. --- though it's a continuous hum of engine noise and mower deck noise mixed together. That is so weird. I have never encountered a riding lawn mower that sounds like that. Another weird thing is that YOUR lawn mower doesn't sound like that. If I ever got to make a KZread video of the mower used at this apartment complex, I would title it "Singing Lawnmower" or something like that.

This might be a dumb question because I haven't paid attention in all of your previous videos running this machine. Have you run your 56" off the B19 with this machine? Suggesting it because you know the B19 runs quietly with that deck. Maybe the noise is actually coming from something other than the deck but requires a torque load from the deck/blades. Just curious, I know you've been dealing with this issue for a while. Hope you get it sorted out!

It sounds like with the blades on, your giving the grass fan extra turbulence, and the blades in the fan are rubbing just so ever slightly in the housing, I would take a really close look into the fan housing, I hit a rock, and bent one of the blade in the fan, and took me forever to find the noise, it sounded very similar to yours.

Flip the deck up and check every little Piece of the deck maybe you have a crack weld from when the gearbox broke and when the blades Are in rotation A broken weld might be flexing the deck and making that sound because of the momentum of the blade spinning just Maybe something stupid like that good luck

Nice video! Very helpful to me as I have never seen a crack in PTO shaft as I will now be aware of that. As far as sound it did sound tingy to me but hard tell from a video and I know you said in videos blades are not hitting the deck but I would double check it. Sometimes those bandings ware thin and break/get thin and they vibrate in and hit the blades and it's hard to where it touches. Maybe to confirm that is to put on your 56" blades on it as they will be shorter, do both sides with the short 56 blades and then switch to one 56 short blade and 48 blade on each side to see what it does. Also try without versamow blades again and put just the 2 48" blades for just checking. Good luck

Gotta wonder if you hit something that put a very small dent (too small to be easily seen ) where the spindles (boxes) mount that is causing a vibration when the blades are spinning. You could test with a glass of water. Take the blades off and run the PTO with the glass sitting over the boxes, then with the blade on. If they are balanced it should look pretty much the same, if the blades are out of balance you should be able to see more water movement

It does not sound like anything is hitting, it sounds like an a sound made by air, possibly something is unbalanced. Check if your shaft going to the blades is perfectly strait or if there is any vertical/ horizontal play. Check the bolt that contain the blades, are the washers on them? Check every piece of metal in the deck and make sure they are firm with no play. ( it could be a piece of metal flapping) If not, it might have something to do with the gearboxes, its a possibility that they are making this noise under the load of the blades. Im no mechanic but that is what I would check if it was my mower.

Countryside Vlogs That would be something I’d be checking out closer, also if the new gear boxes came from China. I think if there is even one part that’s bent or out of balance it will radiate throughout the whole deck because it basically a direct drive. Belts are sloppy and slip, but more forgiving.

Countryside Vlogs That’s good, I’d think you can eliminate that as a cause then. Did you grease the new shafts and universal joints good. I saw you grease the splined shaft with bearing grease, but maybe it’s those joints? It sounds like a metallic sound to me.
