Pier fishing can be so exhausting! I used to enjoy it. But as l get older, l gravitate more towards wading the flats. Or goid ol' fashioned surf fishin from a folding chair. I'll usually hit the Gulf Pier once when the Cobia run. But that's about all l can take. You MAY catch me dippin a Sabiki rig on occasion. Just long enough to fill a minner-bucket. But that's about all the pier fishing l can endure these days.

Thank you, Brant! You show some wonderful Saltwater fishing and keep it faith based. No foul language or anything like that. In this evil and deceitful world, it is a pleasure to watch your videos. I also appreciate your humility. A fruit of God’s Holy Spirit that not many possess. Beach bum and bearded Brad are also fine people! God bless you and yours.

Loved fishing the Gulf State Pier. Caught a lot of Spanish mackerel, spade fish, sheepshead, red fish, and white trout. Caught one big hammerhead there which I had to cut off after getting it beside the pier and lost one nice king mackerel there also. Fished it for years when I was a teenager while my family was on vacation. Hate that pier was damaged like it was in that hurricane and hate even more that they are taking forever and a year to fix it. Some of the best fishing I have ever seen every time I went there.

Brandt, you have a real passion for fishing that always stands out. Reminds me of myself. Nothing better than catching false albies from a pier. I had the same kind of morning a few years back on the Skyway pier in St. Petersburg. I was wore out by 10 am. Sure was fun though, and a memory I'll never forget. Good luck with the store and keep up the good work, cheers!

As someone who lives in North Eastern Ontario, Canada, this type of fishing is totally foreign to me. Fishing with all those people around, having to pull up a big fish up a massive pier, seems like a good way to get a hook in your face. What are those big piers for any way? For people to fish off and look at the ocean? I have never even been close to the ocean. It looks like everyone was having fun. Either way, hope you all have a fun day.

Haven't seen a blitz like that in a long time. Last one I was able to participate in was probably 6 months ago. It lasted about 4-5 hours and I'm sure that I saw a couple hundred come over the rail. I landed 6 and lost as many. Great day on the pier. Hopefully will see you and/or the others out there one day.

@@kritik33 It would appear that way, unless you knew what he was doing. The fish he was catching, they're all fast moving and strike even faster. He was simply replicating what appeals to those fish, and a fast moving bait-fish is what they hunt naturally. Kings, Bonita, Mackerel and yes also the Sharks strike fast and hard.
