Walk with me | Ep. 3 - Delhi Misc | Pause Time - Kasturba Gandhi Marg (CP) to India Gate | India

rrahulvverma@gmail.com | Delhi, Feb, 2024: This video goes really slow, hopefully in a good way. We start at the intersection of Kasturba Gandhi Marg with the outer circle of Connaught Place. From here we start walking towards India Gate and slowly observe and experience the views and sounds around us. We pass by the American Library on our left which we do not explicitly view or talk about. Further on we pass by the Tolstoy Road first at the first intersection and then cross the Hailey Road at the second intersection. We also observe the huge Lutyen's era Bungalows along the Kasturba Gandhi Marg.
Further ahead we pass by what used to be Curzon Lane. We also talk about how Kasturba Gandhi Marg was originally named Curzon Road by the British. As we walk further ahead on Kasturba Gandhi Marg we get at the next intersection with what used to Canning Road after the first viceroy of British India, Mr. Canning. This road is now called Madhavrao Scindhia Marg.
At this intersection we take a turn and enter a completely different world of tranquil and peace and chirping of various birds. We also see what looks like mini-Kerala in the middle of Delhi. There is also a Kerala School here. We walk along Canning Road until we reach the next intersection where this road meets Copernicus Marg, named after the famous Polish polymath, Nicolaus Copernicus.

Oh yes, these are nicely maintained by the postal department, which is also evident from their looks, at least in this part of the capital. In my opinion, these are rarely used by general public, except for some commercial users, probably.

Oh Yes. I think you are absolutely right. These don’t seem to be used much anymore but they still look really nice by the road.

Are these letter boxes actively working nowadays? As I don't find any of it in Lucknow. 😂

Yes they do appear active at the moment but I am sure are not really used much. 😊😀 They are more part of our heritage now and don’t seem to be practically used as much. Maybe Lucknow may have a few like these at some corners too :)
