The old interior of the pier was very similar to Clacton-on-Sea.

Yes, quite cramped! The arcade was in one half, rides in the other, with a central corridor. You could clearly see the pier's fairground ancestry! 🎠🎠🎠

There used to be a bowling alley with a cafe on Walton-on-the-Naze’s pier. Has that gone now?

The old Walton Pier Bowl used to be a big attraction back in the 60's and 70's, when 10-pin bowling was a national sport! Currently that section is closed off, and probably used for storage. But there is a new bowling alley at the side of the arcade, and the cafe is now a 'diner' on the far right as you walk in.
