This is where I’m at. I’m not advanced enough to be messing with the mixer but I absolutely love the sound of these. I’ve looked at the Ev 50 against the Maui LD 28. Still don’t know what one to get. The likelihood is I will use a kick drum and TC Helicon PA. Ok, I’m a musician on the fly so as less mixing would suit me !

I’d have to still recommend sticking with the Evolve 50s (older version) for gain controls and physical knobs make for quick adjustment on-the-go. Improvements are not always good. Eg JBL EON One Pro vs JBL EON One. The Pro has the rechargeable battery that inevitably dies and you can’t run off of AC power so once the battery dies you can either purchase a new one or it’s render useless.

Live musicians beware Evolve 50M: This mixer does not have the ability to set the gain on any of the channel preamps. The faders on a mixer do not have the same function as a gain control for the preamp. Gain adjusts the sensitivity of the source signal. I tested the EV50m and the fader "level control" does not affect the source signal at all. I turned the level control down on the app and mixer using the input level control and it had no effect on the signal level from the source. Ex. The source was clipping at 0db and after turning it all the way down, was clipping at -80db. Conversely, I have a high quality (SM7B) low output microphone. Turning the level control did nothing to increase the gain as the source input; the meters remained at the the same level no matter the volume. EV should be more transparent on the limitations of this system. I contacted EV Tech support who confirmed that there is really no gain control as indicated in the manual or in the advertisement.

In your opinion, How does the EV-50 does when it comes to connecting keyboards and listening through a pair of stereo headphones. The reason I asked was my keyboRd has stereo piano and organ samples. I want my P.A system to sound in stereo so that my audience can feel the music. An Example of what i'm talking about is feeling the tremolo in the organ, or hearing the residece in a pipe organ and tell the difference from where instruments are placed when using bluetooth to play a song from Iphone of Samsung Galaxy S 21 Ultra

I recommend the speaker for the room you play. But generally 10” powered EV tops and a single 15 sub under your booth/table. Also seriously invest in good stands to get the speakers over everyone’s head it’ll change how much volume you need. If your speakers have the angle pole cup even better you angle them down. That set is really versatile 10s have the almost the dispersion and more throw and a real sub will have much better lows. ELX 10p top ekx 15p sub. If your look for the clean aesthetic onstage flat stands and just add an additions flat weight to the base looks very nice and clean

I purchased a new EV50m and received today. Both advertisement and manual indicate that this system has "independent channel gain controls." The user manual also indicates in 6.1 and directs the user to "adjust the input using the input gain control" but frustratingly, the manual does not indicate where to find the individual channels "input gain control." Your video also only indicated how to change the level of each channel, but not the gain sensitivity. Where is the input gain control located in the app or on the rear panel?
