I grew up in Point Pleasant Borough, right over the bridge to Bridge Ave. I lived around the block from Nellie Bennitt elementary school. We lived on Beach Blvd in the log cabin.

Oh my...thanks for this. It brought up so many memories. I worked for Jenks back in summer 2001 when I first went to the US and walked that boardwalk from the pavilion to the inlet and back at least twice a day. It also made me realize that's 2 decades and how old I got :-D...

Thank you for sharing your wonderful memories, transistic! We lived about a 45 minute drive from here, so I have some memories of visiting here in the summer. It is still a fun place to visit

I miss the wood boardwalk.

But it does look beautiful.

A walk I love to do- the whole stretch and ending at the mini golf. I do make some detours into the arcades though, hah!

Oh, so, so many 80 degree days that cooled off in the evenings back then. My Mother always insisted that we take a sweater or lite jacket at night. Those were all bungalows back then. Nothing fancy. As a teenager, it was so much fun to be there. The energy was so thick. People from all over the world, like NYC.
