Walk in NIJKERK | Small Dutch Town | Helvetic Walkers in Holland 5.

This is a short walk in Nijkerk, where we were accomodated during our stay in The Netherlands.
It is touristically well located, because is not far from Utrecht, Amsterdam, Windmills, Sea and Giethoorn.
Nijkerk means "New Church" (nije Kercke). The town originates from that time as this new church was built after the old chapel had been destroyed by fire in 1221.
Everything is from red brick in this town, the buildings, the streets, etc. Each house has white and black windows, typical to Holland. However each house is different in style despite of this.

Beautiful thank you for the vlog. It amazes me the brick paving everywhere in Holland its so smooth and even. Much more appealing than concrete and tarmac. Where I live they can't even get the bricks flat and even on a small pathway. The dutch are very skilled indeed.
