La Barrosa beach is the great arenal de Chiclana and one of the emblems of the province of Cádiz and Andalusia. Its 8 km extension and its width, which exceeds 100 meters in some sections, make it a unique space in which to enjoy the sea, breathe fresh air and take advantage of the great tourist offer created under its influence and that fortunately is not intrusive or has seriously spoiled the natural environment as in other areas of the coast.
It is considered "La Barrosa" the strip of beach that goes from the Loma del Puerco, with the limit of Conil, to the cliffs of Sancti Petri, where the beach of the same name would begin. The beach is usually divided into three zones or sectors. The first one would be the south, or closer to Conil, which would be the Novo Sancti Petri area, with the large hotels on the beachfront and with a somewhat more rugged coast, with unevenness although with good access on foot. This area is quieter than the beach in front of the residential area.
