I'm liking the honesty of the English people here (unlike warblet lol) It's the people who keep coming back with "Well we've won the world cup", its completely laughable. The current England team has talent no doubt and if they can get over themselves like you've said i can see them being a very strong team soon.

Good on you Stroketheboat for a very honest comment. They should have stuck with Brian Ashton, in my opinion he was totally shafted. He took England to the final in the world cup and 2nd place in the Six nations all with limited resources and then sacked him. An absolute disgrace. England are a better side than what you see at the moment but Martin Johnson should not be coach, he was a legend as a player but he is not ready to coach at this level.

totally agree. the USA beat france at one stage aswell. dont mean fuck all in todays game. Wales are by far a better team then england. The 6 nations at the moment is contested by wales france and ireland... england dont even figure.

woops soz read wrong comment. HOWEVER, i am a tue rugby fan and yes i can say they have something to build on. its totally unfair to say they are complete shit because they aren't. (Not far from it but still). They def need a new manager and a complete change in game plan.

@cookerldc If you were a real rugby supporter and knew anything about rugby you would know that every match is unique depending on the two teams. Wales or England can play absolutely shit against one team, but both seem to pick up their games when playing each other. And the only reason England were so awful in 6 nations 2010 was because Martin Johnson refused to pick the best players and does not let the players think for themselves on the pitch. PS go take good sportsmanship classes.

The Welsh used to harp on about the 70s for decades; now they have a half decent team, it is suddenly about the now. Ok England finished 2nd in last years 6 nations Wales finished 4th. Until Wales start beating the three Southern teams, 4 if you throw Argentina in, you will never be taken seriously on a world stage. The next world cup, its the quarter final for you and the semi- final for England at least.

To beat the worst England team in a generation by 3,7,9 points is no great cause to rejoice is it. Lets put this into perspective South Africa and Australia beat England by 30 points last November, thats how far you are away from them. Get out of this ghettoised mentality of just beating us and nothing else matters; to us Wales is just another game, much sooner beat the big three or France; then we know where we stand in the world game.

You cant say anything about embarrassing yourselves against Southern hemisphere opposition; Northern hemisphere teams for that matter until not so long ago. I can count on my right hand how many times you have beaten southern hemisphere teams ever. Until you get out off as long as we beat England your standing on the global stage will be nothing. To us playing Wales is just another game, we value a victory against France or New Zealand much higher as it tells us were we are .

Thats works out at 25 points a game, which is not exactly amazing is it; Wales used to concede that many in one game 70 odd, not so long ago, now that is amazing. Yes, this was an England team in transition last year . However, there were signs at the end of last 6 nations that it was coming togethor. Wales always do well in the 1 or 2 years after the world cup 2005, 2008 when other sides are rebuilding. We concentrate on the world cup, not playing Wales.

14 grand slams, 1 world cup win, 2 runners up spots. Dont think Wales can take that glory, considering your miserable record in the world cup. But i wont talk about the past , like when we whooped you by 50 points every year. You only beat us by 2 or 3 now; i call that insipid, against a poor England team

Here we go again, you. As for wales being consistant. What the hell you talking about. They have 2 GS's since 2005 but consistancy by definition says they should be at the top end every year.. 2006 an 2007 they were awful. 08 another GS, there a great side no doubt but consistant they are far from it. on an off i would say England runners up. only the first losers and it took Bergamasco at scrum half in the italy game to gift u trys, France didn't even turn up. Give me a break go back to school.

Wales isn't England's greatest rival, Australia is. That is why we always refer RWC 2003 because we beat them in a world cup final on their turf. Wales, Enjoy your glory you deserved it but don't expect it to last forever.
