Wakeboarding Tantrum | Quick and Easy Way To Learn!
Спорт
Welcome back to another basic invert tutorial, today we're learning one of the most popular out there - the Tantrum!
The tantrum is a heelside back summersault. It's not easy, however if you have learnt every step along the way so far, then this should be okay and safe to learn!
Unfortunately you can't really learn it one wake, and so your best option is to maybe just slow the boat down a little and shorten your rope 5ft.
Hopefully this video helps, and good luck!

Hahahah ahh Thank you Matt! Looking forward to my official holiday 😂
I love all your videos David! You're the only rider i watch videos when it comes to learning new tricks! One thing i can't figure out is everytime i square up/ let of my edge i lose all my pop i get zero height. I can do otjer inverts but just can't seem to figure this one out. Trampoline backflips no problem. Any ideas on pop when squaring up?!
what do you think a good first boat purchase would be for a wakeboarder?
Can you do a How-To for HS Front Flips? I find these similar to Tantrums. However I can't seem to land a regular HS Front Flip, I always tend to do FS 180 with it instead.
should i get the leading arm a little bend or fully extend? feel like the tension of the line is so great its easy to get injured.
Hi david, thank you for this good video. And I would like to know if you have a playlist for wakeboard sessions ?🤙🌊
Just had a quick question. Ive been watching your videos and have gone from pretty bad at wakeboarding to doing consistent wake to wake jumps. I even landed my first toeside wake to wake last weekend. Would you reccomend letting a rope out longer the more comfortable you get with wake to wakes? When I do mine I feel like im still pretty close to the boat and dont really jump that far. Any thoughts?

Of course I'm not David, but what worked for me was to learn my wake jumps at 55 ft, then i moved to 60 once they were consistent enough. I feel like 60 ft is a good length that you get enough airtime to learn grabs and 180s, and I even learned my first tantrum at 60 ft. Seems like a good length to spend some time improving your riding after the wake jumps, at least for me. Now I'm riding at 62

First off, congrats on the progress! That’s huge. So yes, definitely let it out slowly, but obviously don’t go too long. Congrats again!
Why some riders do not “loose” backhand or they loose it almost when they are leaving the wake?

I don’t know. I think it’s vital to let go of the backhand! Otherwise it’s more of a ‘Fran trim’ and is more difficult!
I was surprised you didn't talk about letting the wake "trip" you. Is that not as important as "pushing up" off of it? I've been trying tantrums a long time, going to put some effort into toeside backrolls and see how that goes. I'm working with a small wake - not sure if that makes one vs the other easier.

You know what, you’re probably right, it is important to have the wake trip you up!
