From a marketing perspective, just stick with "Wake up in Manila". Visitors don't care about the difference with Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, it's just confusing. To a visitor, it's all just "Manila" Other than that great promo, showing both the historic and modern sides of Manila.

But it's high time to educate everyone also. Let us educate them for them not to be confused. :)

@@joannamarievictorio8553 but when you visit Tokyo the metropolis, you also don't go to just one of its 26 cities you simply go to Tokyo. Same with Jakarta, if you go there no one ever says I'm going to Jabodetabek (greater Jakarta). Thing is, our megacities have grown to be much larger than the set boundaries of the old capital. We have to adapt and treat it as one big city with a holistic perspective. The fault in our urban planning is we still have a fragmented approach based on these old set boundaries but the build and natural environment (urban systems like transport, waste management, as well as rivers, air etc) don't work like that, they transcend these boundaries. What's causing more confusion is the lack of integration and cohesion in these administrative districts (i.e. different rules within the same urban area) and that's the real issue that we have to address.

But this was an ad series for all the regions of the Philippines. It would be incorrect to label the entire NCR as just Manila.

But Manila is not a region. NCR is. It would be erroneous to call it simply Manila, as if you'd disregard the other cities in the region. As someone from Makati, it's kind of annoying to see our city's skyline being labeled as "Manila" when it's clearly Makati. People should know the difference and DOT is correct for using NCR since it's the official name of the region, not Manila.
The model is handsome for this episode featuring NCR, i wished they feature some areas around the Metropolis more for a wholesome perspective of the Capital Region. But overall this tourism ad is nice and awesome.
Amazing. Welcome to the National Capital Region!
It's a beautiful ad but there are still more beautiful views and experiences to be shown in Metro Manila. The advertisement must not just focus on nature but the modern side of the Philippines as well. It's about time to include BGC, Makati, MOA, Ortigas, and other Business districts in Metro Manila.
National Capital Region ( NCR) Amazing Manila. 😍

Nice one NCR!😎
Very nice!!!
It's just sad that Covid -19 has greatly impacted NCR Touris, covid cases on the rise pa rin sa NCR sad.
I felt a bit sad on this part. Di na niya na-explore ung the rest of the Metro from Pasay, Makati or whatever. . But hey. Atleast where you able to get the glimpse of the NCR! Kudos.
