I really don't know why this song makes me cry... I think it's because I imagine my deceased grandpa talking to me like this (not singing, tho).

This reminds me of something my grandfather who passed would say to me. He was my rock and ment the world to me. It has been so hard without him. Thank you Pop for always being there for me. I love you so much and I will never forget you no matter how hard I will try.

I always saw Joe as a father figure to Jenna I'm glad the movie gave her a male friend that was platonic and I'm happy she befriended Joe and he left her his diner after he passed away, though it's sad he had to pass away and not just retire or make her a business partner and that he never got to see Lulu

This added a dimension to Waitress that I now find missing. Seeing the show before it hit Broadway, this was one of my favorites in the show. Sorry it got cut for Broadway audiences?

Dakin Matthews starred in the ride film for Body Wars at Epcot from '89 to '07 as the Mission Control officer; he appeared in the pre-show spiels and the main ride. If you'd like a link to a ride-POV of Body Wars, I would be happy to grab one for you.

I am an old man, and I have taken much from old men (and women) in my life. I hope to pass on something of what I have learned, or perhaps just a bit of hope.. "My mistakes have made me and I am what I am."

The main character Jenna is pregnant to her useless, abusive husband, this is the man who own and patronises the pie shop that she works at singing. He comes across as a grumpy, unlikeable old man, but he really cares about her, and this is him encouraging her to break free of her life and look for something. You should watch the movie Waitress with Keri Russell, and then listen to the cast recording of the Broadway production, its beautiful and Jessie Mueller is the sweetest thing you'll ever hear.

fennekin & lynx We do hear about her dad, in "what baking can do" during the song you see her mom getting abused by a man, we know it's jennas mom because we've seen her when jenna said ""I learned it from you"" in the same song. Also earl says something along the lines of "When your momma died and your dad started drinking I was the only one there for you"" So fun theory! But I think it's not true. Edit: I got all of this from the bootleg, it's not in the songs them selfs

The main character, Jenna, was being abused by her awful husband. She worked in a pie shop and this is the man that no one wanted to serve because he was a grumpy old man. But Jenna always served him because she could see past that. Then at this point in the musical, she needed help and counciling, and he stopped being grumpy to help her out. It is truly wholesome.
