I've heard that amalgam cards show up when we in-game search for not only tribes like mech or murloc, but also human, orc, or sth like them (I'm pretty sure they used to, but not sure if they still do) Maybe amalgams here counted as such unexisting tribes and made power slider buff beyond 11

egg, night elf, and human, are the tribes you are thinking of, if i remember correctly.

They still do. Did ten race searches in the collection manager and amalgams pop up for all of them. Dwarf, gnome, goblin, elf, night elf, blood elf, human, dreanei, orc, troll, ogre

Interesting fact: There are technically a lot more tribes of minions in hearthstone than you think. If you type "human", "gnome, "orc" in the search, you will see not only the cards in the name or description of which there is the word you are looking for.

As a very sad Warrior main....im excited to try this deck. It got me excited to play my favorite class lol

What a crazy interaction. I just threw the brann + charge, along with a circus amalgam in a standard menagerie deck and had a lock of success

I play this combo at the release of the expansion, but without the amalgam band and was also very funny to play!

I think that this might have to do with how they programmed the amalgams tow ork withi minion types. For things that count for each different minion type, they didn't want amalgams to lock out tribes at random, so they have them simply add a +1 to tribe count without taking a tribe. However, this means that the +1 can go well over the tribe count, leading to the combo we see in this video.

My Guess is that it's not a hidden tribe but rather a programming "cheat" to make sure amalgam doesn't mark off a tribe you use later. Instead they just add to the counter for every amalgam and probably rightfully assume no one will put EVERy tribe into there deck for it to be noticat.

After watching the full video, I VERY HIGHLY doubt that there are TEN hidden tribes and it just always counts the amalgams

I think it's possible that it is intentional, or at least they knew it would work this way when making Power slider. Standard Warrior right now can run every minion type except for demon, and with Mistake, Amalgam of The Deep, and One-Amalgam Band, you can get up to 15 and even more with lucky discovers.

Great combo!

In your first game you played 10 minion types (no undead, and excluding the 'ALL') and 9 'ALL' minions. And it counted 18 for the Power Slider However you played a 'Hookfist 3000' which is 'Mech and Pirate', so maybe the 'Pirate' was not counted...

Multi Tribe counts only increase the counter by one for cards that focus on playing Menagerie builds: you can see this if you play one with One Amalgam Band in your hand, and with multi targeting cards like the Menagerie Jug, Zoobot, etc. It counts as both for effects that target specific tribes(this is more prevalent in Battlegrounds), but the game is programmed not to let multi tribe minions double dip when it comes to the wider range effects, and the 'youve played X tribe' cards seem to be hard coded to only ever increase by 1 Edit: autocorrect for some reason removed the word one from my first sentence while typing lol

I guess the biggest you could do would be playing both voone legendaries and copy your amalgams 2x with it which in perfect case would give you 2x 5 tribes and also cards like the farmer to shuffle 3 into the deck and a fizzle hand with amalgams and voone, using zalgra on voone and keep copying a 5 amalgams hand

smb in blizzard should fix this asap, we cannot give warrior an option to win the game

This was probably perfect for quest pirate. Just swap one card out, maybe the rush mummy

if amalgams just keep adding one then the only limit on the size is how man amalgams of the deep you could play in a single which is theoretically infinte with zola plus brann always being on the field

It would be best to think of [all] as a set that contains in itself all other minion types [elements or maybe even subsets because there are elements in types such as demons with imps, etc.] but then that would beg the question, does a set of all sets exist in this context? if you were to form a list with all possible minion types, including [all], would [all] contain those?

Well, every amalgan has a unique art, so it makes sense that each one count as a different type. The only contradiction is the fact that multiple copies of the same one count as different tribes.

Not necessarily a contradiction. Cards that have 2 tribes only add 1 of the 2 tribes when played. It's just selecting 1 small piece of that amalgam each time you play it.

Poor powerslider, even being the one doing the otk it still doesn't get the recognition

I paused the video to built my own deck for the otk, played it, won the first match with 1 hp and perfect lethal and then continued the video.

the actual maximum buffage for Power Slider is 20, with 11 types base, 2 of each amalgam and one-amalgam band, plus any amalgam you can discover with amalgams of the deep

@@taylon5200 Siamat was absolute Meta when it came out....One-Amalgam-Band is not bad in Standard, its the fact that Warrior isnt all too great which holds it back but the card itself is fine.

The Combos where you got to hold back to not win the game too early are the worst
