14:05 Its important to note that it doesnt say "you can use it twice", but "it triggers twice" If a warrior uses this with the base hero power, they pay 2 to gain 2 armor twice (for a total of 4)

Yep. Also Hunter gets more face damage, Mage gets 2 damage pings, Paladin gets 2 bodies, Shaman 2 Totems. Honestly, I think it may be very strong with specific classes, but weaker in others while almost always having some class want it. Double hero powee for no additional cost isnt too bad at all.

Hope you feel better. I'm thinking the mustache giving Bright Eyed Scout will play a crucial role in tutoring key cards for tempo and zoo decks

Might be a shot in the dark but I know I at least am going to give the scarab a shot. Going by history of HS cards 1 drops that give you relatively consistently good cards on top of it (and this has a fairly higher likelihood of doing so than anything seen in the past) have always seen play. And this is neutral discover from a fairly small pool. Just a death knight cheating out a corpse from a scarab on turn 1 while discovering a solid runed two drop seems like a nobrainer addition.

Origami Crane is like a Vol'jin effect... I think it's super good in something like Taunt Warrior or anything that pings, considering it's not random.

Props to you for talking this stuff through when sick, but you're talking about origami frog "trading with an 8/8". He would actually become an 8/3 as he'd only take 1 damage. He doesn't copy their attack, he swaps it. So he'd be an 8/4 attacking a 1/8. Or, if they have 2 8/8's, he could make one a 1/8 and then trade with the other.

Every nostalgic card represent a past key word, Spell burst to Corrupt ETC. Love the design. Still I want to try origami deck first when they come out. It just seem cool to swap everything.

Does sing along buddy work with the Paladin dk? So play the one that lets you double hero power and then just have sing along buddy? 8 mana combo 3 cards including the dk

Lina is supposed to work with excavate rogue after you finish your legendary. Notice it's the cost and not the mana so discounted spells will work at full value, then return Lina to really anger your opponent

I think observer would be a much cooler card if it casted the secrets 'at the end of turn'. Wouldn't be better or worse in anyway just that the random secrets would stick regardless of the opponent waits a turn.

Lab Constructor in Rogue + Forgotten Animatronic is kind of interesting, particularly if you can get a 1/1 Stealth minibot to attach as well. Obviously it's an abstruse combo... but who cares!

The location->draw2 card probably means we are gonna get more this set, nathria is rotating.

3:05 almost wonder if this could be used similarly to school teacher where you just play it on 5 without the effect and get a better payoff (assuming deal 4 is better than random 3 cost spell which I think it is)

I'll go on record to say that Nostalgic Clown is a better card than you ranked it as. If there is a deck that can reliably corrupt the 5 mana Clown it will be played just because it is so easy to activate the mini. For 8 mana you can get 7/6 on the board and deal 8 damage split on two targets plus whatever effect the 2 mana card was.

having a demon creature type in neutral makes OAB wayyyy better for all classes.

Optimism is a dead concept to card reviewers.

I think it's so stupid that they're harkening back to these old keywords but not using the keywords. These cards would be even more nostalgic if they actually used the keywords, and they'd be less wordy.

Why aren't they using keywords that already existed in game. They ignore the fact that we have honorable kill and corrupt keywords already.

They don’t ignore they exist, but to keep hearthstone a simple game to get into, they won’t reuse keywords that aren’t currently in rotation If you’ve ever tried to get into a well established card game you’ll understand why…

Why is he calling me a “gay mon” at the end of each video? I’m not Jamaican!

Hearthstone is sometimes so scared on using their own keywords, why describe what the keyword does instead of using it, that is the point of a keyword, it is so annoying when they are one expansion and then never used again for the most part

They want to keep the total number of keywords in standard low. For newer players, there’s almost no point for them knowing what spellburst is, so having one card which has that keyword on it could only add confusion. If you’re someone who knows what’s being referenced (the old keyword and the card which looks similar) then you know the nostalgic thing. I think in this case particularly it works well

Which ones do you think are way off? I think the only ones I disagree with a little are Mess Maker (kind of single handedly ensures that token decks will struggle to be meta), Scarab Keychain (could find a home in top-heavy decks), and Sing-along buddy (seems very good to me in a post-rotation world for Dude Paladin, Rainbow DK, and Warlock).

@@ScherFire i don't agree with oragami frog being a 1 star, I think everyone is criminally under-rating the turn disruption cosplay contestant can be, scarab keychain I agree is a great card, at least a 2, probably a 3. 1 drops that fill your curve are always good. tar slime is deff a 3 star card, I like forgotten animatronic for hand buff as well, sing-along buddy is deff going in at least 3 decks I can think of.

Bro go to bed and rest. Your job will be here tomorrow. Also, you're smoking crack putting floppy hydra as a 2 star card. Hunters are going to make so many copies of those and absolutely demolish for about 4 weeks on release.
