What if you had a $5 Bookshelf in one of your booths for all the stuff you would donate? I bet it'd get to be pretty popular for the regulars or ppl who can't afford the more expensive stuff 😊

I agree. I once had a booth, and stuff that didn’t sell went on a bargain table and they always found a home. I understand how she likes to donate though. Charity is good for the soul…… even though Goodwill prices, at least in my area have been outrageous lately!☹️

Thunderbunny's $5.00 shelf idea seems like a really smart idea! You recoup more of the money you spent, and then anything that doesn't sell could still get donated. 👏😊

A teapot doesn't have to have a lid to sell, for it can be multi-functional. You can use them as silverware holder,, or a planter.

Thank you once again for showing the reality of thrifting and reselling. We often let stuff pile up. Knowing when to say no and stop shopping is as important as shopping. Obviously with you making videos it’s equally as important to keep buying. Knowing when to purge stuff you will honestly never sell is also important I recently purchased about 3k of merch from the auction. My son just sent me a listing of someone on Facebook selling off their entire Christmas collection. Oh boy that’s tempting but I told my son I was going to pass because I have 2 auctions worth of stuff I need to list I really don’t need to be bringing in more until that stuff is either listed or in my booth. I also need to go through a bunch of stuff and donate. Stuff that has been sitting that hasn’t sold and stuff I honestly know I’ll never sell… because it’s not my thing. A good rule resellers just getting into reselling need to know… there is ALWAYS stuff to buy. You don’t have to buy everything just because it’s a good deal! It’s ok to say no and there is money sitting in your death pile. 😊 I hope everyone has a safe and blessed New Year! 🎉 2024 here it comes

I'm dealing with a lot of that right now. I love finding it, and buying it. But listing is very slow for me. And some of that ... I think I'll just keep It for a little while, then sell it. 😅 My dad took my last order to the Post Office so I wouldn't go to the thrift store after words 😅😅😅

Do you know there are fees, commission, and rent to be paid on items sold in a booth in an antique mall? Generally it’s not worth the time and energy to put such low dollar items in a booth.

You could auction mystery boxes full of some of your rejects. People love those things.

I'm an artwork junky. I once did a real estate clean up & found a 1955 Marcel Catelein oil painting they tossed in the dumpster!!!, it's worth $2500 & a 1950 Mildred Wilkin watercolor left hanging in the bedroom worth $500. It was a fabulous find.

With the stuff you are donating back to Goodwill you could put it in one of your booths and price it really cheap. Have a dead line if it is not gone with in a certain amount of time then donate it.

I make a habit of purging my inventory a few times a year. It sounds like a huge loss but it hasn’t worked out that way for me. It helps keep things moving when they get a little stuck if you do it wisely.

I pick up things I’ve donate all the time, only once have I repurchased something. Lol

Remember shop pulls a commission as well as charges rent. Also if you could make one sale would you like to make $25.00 profit or $3.00 profit? What would you want your sellers in your vintage shop to offer? $5.00 picks or better ?

I’ve had that experience of picking up something at a Thrift Store because I liked it only to realize I had donated it. I’m sure sooner or later we all do that. 😂

Use a blue or white grease pencil to mark what you donate back. Should come off the same as the black goodwill uses, and you'll know what you donated if you see it

All these items are things she doesn't want to wast time on. If she is putting them on whatnot she has to photograf, list and upload to whatnot which she doesn't want to do.

What is your trick to removing all that tape on that green candy dish without destroying it? So many times I have bought pieces from GW that they wrapped up like a mummy in packing tape only to soak it for hours and still have it destroyed. So frustrating. It almost seems intentional sometimes

It's all about the hunt for resellers. Also they don't all have the same tast. They have to buy stuff that they know their subscribers want to buy. Also all her friends are succesfull in their own niche of reselling.
