@cliffbeatz I found this... Nine is 91shots and Dex is Handsome Dexter. Between them, these guys have almost exclusively produced every Sindhu World track. Pete & Bas, The Northern Boys, PKJ and Norm’s solo tracks, and Uncle Bal too. 91shots has produced the beats for every single Norman Pain track to date. They definitely have a massive hand in the project, whether they are writing and training the old boys with their lyrics or voicing it themselves, it’s genius.

To be fair Pete and Bas have said numerous times that their grandchildren helped them write and they will sound like each other because there are grandpa and grandson and you learn your mannerisms and accent etc from your family, in close families babies spend most of their time with close family members, often grandparents who often are the day care if both parents work, so that connection is not really that big of a thing. I think people are trying to make it out to be some kind of conspiracy theory when really it’s not, it’s blown way out of proportion, but online that seems to be a thing, it’s like an addiction for some people, they seem to live and breathe trying to turn everything into something it’s not, lol People need to get out more, go touch grass, connect with reality

And its not much of a stretch to assume that the kids of course have an influence but its not some grand conspiracy to hide something. The 2 old guys are DOPE AF, just give them their props and keep it movin. These guys are fire AF. Nine is 91Shots the producer for Pete & Bas beats. I don't think they're ghost writers. Pete and Bas have stories more in line with their age... coffeeshops, tailors, pig farms. These boys are bragging their own shit. P&B have made no secret to the fact that their grandsons...and granddaughters have helped them tidy up lyrics, come up with rhyme schemes and flows that might chop the sentence but maintain the rhyme, and the biggest assist, Pete says, is staying up to date with the slang and youth colloquialism. As for seeing them all together, i was just reading a post on Reddit, and someone posted that Nine and Dex were at a Pete and Bas show...this person said he was at the soundboard with them. They are the main producers for P&B and he said he umderstood them to be at all their live shows. He knew for certain that they were not secretly miked backstage with P&B lip syncing and he seemed to understand the setup well enough to guarantee there was also no recording be played, especially since there was a messup on the lyrics that went along with what he saw Pete and Bas doing. I have heard Pete and Bas in interviews and their talking voices match their rapping voices.

You're right. It seems that Nine and Dex are very talented but couldnt break out onto the scene as themselves, so they created the Pete and Bas characters (gangster backstory, old men rapping is a novelty) for their grandfathers and made them rap the lyrics. The voices are definitely Pete and Bas, but theyre coached on how to deliver it. Now that Pete and Bas careers have taken off they are piggybacking on it to relaunch their own careers as rappers, Both the grandfathers and the grandsons are clearly very talented, the lyrics and flows are insane, Pete and Bas deserve credit for rapping in their old age, i can see why Nine and Dex want to be more than just the behind-the-scenes, they really do deserve the fame.

These guys are 91 Shots and Handsome Dexter, credited on every song by Pete and Bas and even a lot of the Northern Boys too. The smoking gun that proves they're the ones doing all this is they're both the directors of Sindhu World, the owners of Sindhu Sesh where these guys first came out. They're listed on the company directory under their actual names and have been since like 2017, Bas is a piano player and former notary and council member for Croydon, real name Basil Preuveneers. He's also done some background acting work. Im 90% sure Dex does the voice for Bas, it becomes clearer when you listen to the american version of old men rappers Frank and Maury because one of their voices is literally "Bas" with an american accent. Frank and Maury were also managed by Sindhu World. Petes a bit trickier because his speaking voice is really close to his rapping voice, and his flow clearly changed and improved as they released songs so I'm pretty sure he's actually rapping. I still think Pete and Bas help with writing purely based on some of the more obscure old school references they make in their songs. So they weren't exactly lying when they said they do their own writing, they just don't do it alone. I'm not saying this to out them because I don't think it diminishes how fucking incredible they are at writing and rapping, it's clear now that they've stepped in front of the camera they've decided they want the mask to slip. Wouldn't surprise me if they announce the whole thing this year, the novelty has worn off for some people I think.

The accents and where they're from are why they sound similar. It's the accent, not the voice. Bas & Pete's accents are different and so are Nine & Dex. I do not think at all that these two ARE Pete & Bas, at all. The conspiracy theory I've seen from reactors has actually killed how fire this song is since the whole time people just keep saying how this is Pete & Bass ghostwriters or that it's them without effects or whatever. Maybe they're ALL talented? It's not that far fetched. It could be that Nine & Dex helped them figure out their flow because Pete & Bas sound the same on almost every song with the same flow. So it's like they taught them one flow and now Pete & Bas write their own music with that one flow in mind. It's not that hard to write in this style, it's a simple kind of scheme. These bars go WAY harder than what Pete & Bas do for sure in terms of all the doubles and such. They might assist them but I don't think I'd say they're full on ghostwriters for them, much less them actually being them.

I assume the 4 of them probably collab on a lot of their songs. Get a little circle going, tossing around ideas. Sounds fun honestly. It’s disappointing that everyone’s just theorizing about who wrote what instead of just fully appreciating the music without drama distraction. Not saying this video in particular, but hop in any comments section and it’s all ghostwrite this and that. Probably they all 4 wrote it, and it slaps

It's kind of funny watching people see this video and then state "Pete & Bas ghost writers" like they've cracked a code. Nine & Dex are credited on most Pete & Bas tracks (as 91 Shots and Handsome Dexter) and they're related to Pete & Bas (I mean, Nine is the spitting image of Bas, lol). It's a family thing, so it isn't as simple as saying they're just "ghost writers" and Pete & Bas made no secret of the fact they get help off their grand kids, but as a lifelong Londoner myself I'm pretty certain Pete & Bas write a lot of their own lyrics too as they include a lot of the slang and references from older generations that, I guess, might not be so detectable to those listening from outside the UK

I guess you're not as old as Pete and Bas, yet you know the 'old time' slang. So why wouldn't Nine & Dex? Especially if they are related. I'm sure they would have spent time with the oldsters in family get togethers and pubs. If you get a mixed age bunch in Bermondsey pub today, it'll sound more old school cockney than Croydon!

I always thought Cliff was a little dumb so i thought he'd buy in to the "grandkids" narrative like a lot of people in the comments. A large portion of Pete and Bas's fanbase sound like children that are trying to justify that Santa Claus is in fact real. I'm with Cliff though. And i don't think there's any shared genetics either. Although yes, it's a narrative that can be pushed because there are some similarities in appearance between Dex and Bas, amplified by the identical voices/cadence.

Haters can't see that they're a family band /s There are unknowns amongst the P&B detectives, and I doubt anyone without direct knowledge from an insider can claim certainty, but honestly, all the evidence I've seen and speculated on points to Pete and Bas delivering, on wax and live, with the power of modern music production affecting both. Pete and Bas get tired on stage? Nine and Dex adjust the volume of the backing track and deliver as background rappers. I hope they're not nearing retirement, but father time being undefeated, it would make sense for them to emerge at some point to continue production as a business decision.

I believe nine and dex have a big hand in it but it's the old guys voices. You can hear the age and raspiness in them. It's been too consistent and gone on too long to be a joke. Pete sounds exactly the same when he talks. Old people can sing and still have rhythm. If you have rhythm and are quick thinking spitting bars isn't hard. The way they do it isn't too complex. It's nothing they couldn't do with practice and obviously they've had a lot over the last few years.
