@@deanosaur808 Pete & Bas just aren't getting the acceptance from other artists. My guess would be that Nine & Dex are making a play to get accepted, and once they are there they can then legitimise Pete & Bas. So I do think a collab is possible and even likely, but agreed with you that it won't be soon.

They literally are Pete & Bas 😂 they pulled back the curtain right in front of you and people still don't see that it's 2 young guys putting on old man voices while 2 old blokes mime along. Even if there are actors involved, pff. Let’s just Pete and Bas are characters. The characters are amazing rappers, and that’s good enough. And that IS Pete spitting. Unquestionably his voice. People who say “old men can’t write this well” got me facepalming. Ever hear of poetry? Ever hear of wit coming with age? What are dad jokes but bars that are designed to make you cringe.

Cached Google search results of LinkedIn shows that Dex worked for Basil at his notary. The facial structure/nose/ears are very similar when comparing the two. Unfortunately, finding young pictures of Bas is difficult. Nine has similarities to Pete as well, but yeah there's not much out there to go on. I guess we'll have to wait patiently. I lean 70/30 that they're genuinely their grandsons.

@@trwortham Birth and marriage records are public..I'm not going to paste my findings all over YT (although it is publicly available), but I will lean 95/05 towards no familial relationship.

91shots is Pete and Bas is HandsomeDexter. They are their writers and do the MC’ing and they do backup vocals for them live, but they are the masterminds behind it. Listen to Pete and bas real speaking voices in interviews and then listen to them live because you can hear their real voices under the original song being played. You can clearly hear bas sounds different to his flow on recorded tracks and sounds almost identical to Dex. Pete sounds closer to his voice on their songs but it’s still 91. I still love the whole thing and its jokes but I can’t believe people don’t realise this Lol Their flows are so similar. Bas even makes the same simpsons references in other songs (always mentioning moe syzlak for example).

It doesn't make sense though because they can mime the words in time so it would be just as easy to say them. They aren't tongue twisters or overly complex, you can get them down with some practice. Its not like they need to sing. Obviously the music and lyrics are heavily influenced if not done totally by these two.

@@dobberstebson4626 they are a bit out of time live, but they do keep up with the tempo pretty well it’s true but Bas sounds very different live with his real voice. He doesn’t have that smooth bassiness and sleekness and it’s more than just because it’s a live situation

I agree. Thank you for restoring my faith that everyone isn't completely stupid and/or crazy. I don't know about the voices as I haven't looked into their live performances but to me it's clear Dex and Nine are doing all the writing and coaching at the very least. I think people not seeing that are simply child like and don't want to believe that Santa Claus (Pete and Bas) don't exist. All that said, I don't care. I still love Pete and Bas , the snooker team and now Nine and Dex. But I'm not going to lie to myself and act like the similarities are a matter of shared genetics. Smh

​@stublad this directly contradicts dozens of comments I've seen about both of them sounding identical to the recorded songs when performing live, as well as my own experience of their live shows. As far as I can tell, the consensus is that the vocals are real, and the writing is more than likely done by 9 and dex to a large extent. Why would it not be possible for 2 old men to just learn how to deliver and stay in time? These aren't magical skills that only young people have, many of the best musicians across all other genres are 60+. Stop reaching to find some greater conspiracy when they're essentially doing the same thing Drake does.

@@Alex-gb7sm same here mate. I love Pete and Bas, the snooker team and Nine and Dex regardless. The music is amazing, the videos are amazing and the bars are out of this world. Seeing through the presentation and knowing the truth doesn't take anything away from it, but it sometimes irks me when people start going crazy with conspiracy theories about how it's actually legit.
