The lack of voice acting for some scenes makes sense when u realies just how much dialogue there is in this game. It's actually insane just how long an average playthough is, you can't really expect everything to be voiced especially considering this is a JPRG first and foremost and not a visual novel like AI. It's honestly impressive that we get fully voiced side quests like the ascension quests in the end

Yeah, it's a crazy amount of dialogue. There's literally three voice directors because of all the voice lines! Most games (including both AI games) have... one voice director.

Wasn't expecting an Fate reference at 8:35, let alone Mordred. Fine choice, RamZaes, fine choice.

This was my first Xenoblade game( I STILL haven’t beaten it) I stopped for some reason I don’t remember and then got distracted with other games, but I really need to finally finish it. The insane class customization for you and your party members is what actually made me decide to take the plunge and try it out. Personally, I like how the characters are more serious than previous games. XB3’s plot (up to chapter 5) is pretty dark. Having a lot of goofy characters or moments would ruin the mood and undercut the more serious moments. Small edit: The affinity bonus boosts the passive stats you get after you free a colony.

Just out of curiousity, but how was this your first xenoblade game, but also was able to compare the characters of this game to previous games. Xenoblade 1 cast are about as comparatively serious.

@@aesgsadg322314 I deleted the other comment because I misunderstood yours. I knew about how “anime” and not serious some of the characters could get by watching videos about them. All it takes is 30 minutes of cutscenes and you can really tell a difference between XB2 and 3.

@@TheSpongyMallard that's not really fair, Xenoblade 2 can get as long as 100h for a normal gameplay, judging it for 30 minutes of cutescenes seems too simplistic. Plus, xenoblade 3 makes more sense and is more enjoyable if you've played 1 and 2.

@@Nateiliand I think XB3 is a 9/10 right now. I don't intend to sound mean, but I'm not going to spend 200 hours and $120 just to play XB3 and enjoy it more. I have seen all of RamZaes' videos, so I'm not totally blind about the series.

@@TheSpongyMallardI think the point they’re making is that the other two games are just as peak as 3 and it makes everything more enjoyable at the same time as all three games being great on their own as well when you understand everything more. They were just trying to help you to enjoy everything a bit more :)

Xenoblade 3 might be my favorite in the series

Loved this game. Improves the mechanics from 2 and now in the dlc we get to use our racecar boi once more.

XC3 is probably my favourite game of all time at this point, tbh. And to think it was dropped out of nowhere, fully polished. For cosmetics staying in all cutscenes: in Tales of Arise, even skits keep the cosmetics you have equipped and it can be quite comical. Looking back on Lucky Seven/Riku after the DLC is weird lol

Xenoblade 3 slaps pretty hard ngl. I will admit the game does taper off a bit by the end and doesn't carry that "Xenoblade Energy" all the time. But I still do think it is a wonderful game despite what I said. Its messages and themes really resonated with me. It genuinely feels like this is what Takahashi has wanted to say over the past few years, albeit maybe a bit less intense.

18:00 he forgot to mention that if you can get the bar to 200% then you get THREE characters back, though you wont be doing that till very late in the game where you can get items so you fill up more of the bar or if you have a specific hero, the one that wants to die, also the point limit only activates sometimes, idk how it works honestly, and if the bar is at 99% then ANY class can finish it
