NOTE!!! Waiakamilo Drive In has shut down.....few months ago, a new owner took its place and its NOW called Lucky Box (i think..) Drive In. New owners/operators greet you warmly and the food is hefty!!! Every so often they have weekly specials on a board outside and its pretty cheap, $10.99 a plate

Fair enough on the score.. I just went last week and saw the price was up a dollar now to $9.95 and total pieces reduced from 9 to 8. Also their garlic chicken has not been consistent in its taste.. though I still like their version a lot !

@@Waynes-xt9gr but no more Waiakamilo Drive Inn since like Sept of last year...new food place started earlier this year... but Waipio Gentry Loco Moco Drive Inn (next to BCD) have their garlic chicken almost a replica--- even with that new owner must have kept the recipe

@@hawaiiguy1 per my sis, the owners of LCDI are the same ones running the Waipio and Moanalua one. It was a rare day when I ordered a cold ginger chicken plate and the tall wahine owner actually was nice :)!!! this was @ the waiakamilo one.
