This is my favorite performance of the night and the first Native American / Indigenous People nominated for an Academy Award. I live in an area where towns, mountains and lakes still bear the names given by the Washoe Tribe. Felt this deep in my soul and get chills listening to the soundtrack of our countries’s ancient language.
