Great video. Changed the battery on mine. Only thing is that the trimmer doesn't seem to cut as well any more. I'm guessing the blade might not be aligned. Is there anything you recommend to ensure that the blade is aligned? Thanks.

Joe, there is a soft rubber spacer around the axel that drives the blades, what does it fit on? I can't get cover back on

It has been a while since I shot this video, but if I recall, there was a groove in the casing for the spacer.

Another KZreadr mentioned being able to send the entire trimmer back to Wahl for reconditioning, fairly inexpensively. I have not tried that personally, but if they go through the whole thing top to bottom, that might be your best bet.

You couldn't replace it for a li-on battery. I'm sure it would give you better performance and longer run time.

Unfortunately no. most batteries operate a different voltages and are very sensitive to overcharging and under charging. The electronics need to be designed for lithium-ion batteries

$12.95 for the battery? Wahl will replace the battery, and any other parts needed to recondition the clipper for $15.00, and return it to you. The down side is the UPS charge to get it to them, $12.00.

That's true about paying USPS, BUT, there's no charge from Wahl to get it back to you. I've sent mine in several times over the years, and believe it or not, there were times when the trimmer I got back looked brand new! Wahl service is awesome.
