Had the great pleasure of seeing Matt (and a host of others) drop into a local pub after performing a gig across the street. For over 2 hours there was a constantly rotating lineup of stellar blues players hanging out with each other and playing what they liked. Fantastic evening that I just happened to luck into on my way home. No cover, no pomp, no egos .... just a hellaciously fine jam session.

Once you hear this version, no others will compare. Still the best.

Matt opened for OCMS last night in Kalamazoo, MI. An amazing guitarist and singer. Came out & played with the band midway thru their set,3 songs if I remember right. Then OCMS had him come out for the encore. A class act all the way around. I had never heard Matt before, but he is good.

Just watched his feed from Stan -fest. A truly tallented singer! Keep sharing your voice ! Makes people happy !

This guy is great,deep powerful voice,big heart!!!

I don't know if Matt reads this, but I am a New Yorker, who does not like country music, and I think this is fantastic. You sing and perform with such joy, that I am sharing this video on my Facebook to hopefully get you a bunch more hits. A very good cover, and a very nice performance.

As a native Nashvillian, I can say that the commercial music industry ruins a lot of people by stifling their creativity. Matt is way too good for that. He sings all styles and does it well. I prefer him being himself, doing whatever he wants.
