Waggler Fishing for Tench on an Old Estate Tench Lake
Спорт
In this episode of Cadence Fishing TV, James heads to Dudmaston Hall, a beautiful estate in the Shropshire Severn Valley. James is fishing the picturesque Big Lake targeting some of the fantastic tench the lake is famous for. Unlike many lakes in modern times, no carp have been introduced, the controlling club, Kinver Freeliners Angling Club, have kept the lake as a traditional tench lake. James chooses to fish with the waggler, a traditional style when fishing for tench. Sit back, relax and watch a chilled Cadence Fishing TV episode at one of the most picturesque lake venues the team have visited. As ever, the video is packed full of tips and tactics on waggler fishing for tench. Enjoy!
Congratulations to Scott Conboy who has been selected at random to win a Cadence CR10 13ft Match Rod of their choice. Well done, Scott! Scott was chosen at random from entries across Facebook and KZread.
Special thanks to Kinver Freeliners Angling Club for their help and permission to fish the lake in this video. For more information on their waters please click here - www.kinverfreelinersac.com

Love for the sport
Favourite fish on my favourite technique. Ace.
Honestly I think this might be an actual fishing dream of mine to do
There is nothing better than a summer's morning or late evening float fishing for tench on a picturesque lake or pond. It's the sort of fishing that dreams are made of. Real Mr. Crabtree fishing. And it's always nice to see someone else muck up a throw of ground bait that misses the spot by yards ;-))... It makes the rest of us feel better about ourselves 8-))...
Proper Tench fishing on the float, none of this scaled down Carp fishing with bolt rigs that has become so popular these days
Tail fins like a navvies shovel, you just have to love Tench. ✌❤ Bob.
Brilliant I love a nice tench 😊
Lovely. Proof that you can have good fishing without bombs, irritating alarms and a van full of tackle. Then again, I’d always fish like this and be happy to fail (perhaps not all the time!) rather than sound the air raid siren every ten minutes. Lovely work both of you.
This is what I love about fishing, not only the fishing.. but the setting. Stunning! Now where's my rod?!
The age old saying keeping it simple, andthis guy always, always does absalute pleasure to watch and what a beautiful setting 👍👍
So nice to see an unspoiled Tench lake. The sort of fishing that makes the most of the early morning starts
One of the best float fishing videos I have ever seen. From the music to the presentation and the photography, it was a delight. Well done.
What a cracking, well paced and presented video with very little merchandising.
You can’t beat fishing for Tench on an estate lakes. Beautiful location and another Cadence winner. Well done James and Chappy.
It was a privilege to fish next to you on the Riverfest at Hereford James, well done on winning and qualifying for the final. That was high quality whip fishing. Thanks for lending me a cattypult! Found mine in the car after 🙄
Amazing episode! Absolutely perfect. Thanks! More video about waggler fishing, please.
A lovely video - thanks
one of your best James
Thanks for sharing your experience 👍

@@peterlewis8040 I had a walk around the grounds this spring, my god is it a beautiful place. Its a national trust. 5 quid to non members. Got feedback on my current position. I'm 53rd and they only allow 200 members at a time and current members get chance to renew first which is only fair.
By the way everyone, James is a top bloke in person, really approachable and helpful.
So good. James really is the master in helping people fish better. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 (great tips on the luncheon meat bait) 🎣
Beautiful location and a beautiful species to target.
Absolutely love the mist lifting on a summers morning. Takes me back to Cardiff as a teenager at St y nyll pond. It's a much smaller venue, but utterly magical. To make it even more special, I moved to the midlands and am priveleged to be able to fish dudmaston.
A lovely venue I had the pleasure of fishing a few years ago as a guest of my mate Neil Wade who died a couple of years ago of pancreatic cancer. We had some lovely tench up to 5lbs or so. We were feeder fishing.

That made me laugh, I spent some time plumbing up and I got four or five foot....
Watching your videos is like meditation after a stressful day - thank you for showing us these beautifuly places 😍
Great video. Float fishing for tench is how I grew up. Can’t believe how quick you can shot no8’s 😂
One more comment, great eyesight. Putting no 10 on without glasses, superman.
Well done James, what a glorious venue. Well done Chappy, best fishing videos on You Tube .
Takes me back to my childhood. What a beautiful lake 👍
I think previous comments say everything. Beautiful video and fishing how it should be. No boosh or fishing shalla. Well done Cadence.
Absolutely fantastic! thank you!
i still love to fish tench on a swing tip ..and dare i say it the lift float..the old methods still work as well as anything .... i love the swing tip .. !!!
Steve bennett you are right about your teeth. My daughter who is a dental nurse tell me of every time she catches me. Brilliant video as always.
Wonderful video James. Takes me back to our days together in The Starlets! Hope you’re well.

Lovely stuff!
James, what a lovely setting to catch some great Tench. Chappie great camera work again you have a great eye for nature. Takes me back to my youth fishing for Tench on some lovely club waters. The method was the Peacock quill attached bottom only with a rubber or two and waiting for the float to lift. Ver happy days.
My mouth was watering, and hands were twitching just getting through the intro music, what an absolutely stunning lake! Those three tinca were beautiful fish James. This is my style of fishing, nothing like this method and a lake like this to let the world float away for a few hours, very well done.
Well presented feature . I fished there myself a week ago but on opposite side taking seven Tench also on Meat . Undoubtedly a wonderfull venue

Another fantastic video nailed again by James and his team. Fantastic music and camera work well done guys
Chappy is the man then when it comes to quality looking venues looks like a postcard picture
1 of my favourite ways of fishing. Reminds me of fishing in the mid to late 80s as a kid. A 3lb tench seemed massive back then. Hairy moments when you have a 1.7 bottom on to a size 20.

the best looking and most prized fish in coarse angling full stop
3x beautiful !
I seem to spend most of my time on the bank vainly attempting to attach no8 and no10 shot to my line.
Another absolutely brilliant video. Well done james and the cadence team . 👍👍
Cracking Tench and beautiful setting.
Another stunning video James and Chappy. What a venue.
Great video. Stunning venue and love the tench fishing
I know it's all about the fishing but - lovely B roll and music, Chappy. And well in James ;-)

Ryan Smith .... good to see an angler just letting the wildlife get on with its life. I remember a day on a backwater of the river Nene at Peterborough where it took me a best part of the day to make friends with a female swan to the point where she was feeding out of my hand. I knew I had got it right when she brought her brood of chicks to me to hand feed. One of the most pleasing days I have ever spent on the river bank.
Great video James and Chappy keep em coming Tight Lines Steve Amison
loved it
Cheers buddy for this absolutely brilliant video

I know what you mean when you call Rudd pesky but I caught a half pounder on the Trent on Tuesday ,I have fished the Trent for over fifty years and it was a first, a really beautiful fish ,I also had twenty pounds of roach ,great fishing, thanks for the wonderful videos James.

Great video enjoyed that. That's the same hook length knot you use in use for my droppers when fly fishing way better and stronger than other similar knots r.e water knot etc
Hello James, I'm always curious about your approach to waggler fishing compared to us other "French"! the junction of the main line and the leader as the choice of the length of this one! you never use a homemade leader? Thanks see you soon
Great content
Awesome video mate 🐟🐟
Cracking film. Drake floats are my go too float. There superb. Getting a bit hard too find locally. I havnt done a single session for the tench this year . Havnt done a session on birkacre for two years. May have too have a look. Nice film ian 😊

@@CadenceFishingUK I was speaking about videos in general. After prancing up and down a river in waders, flicking a fly here and there, I think watching a float is one of those mesmerising relaxations, like those rare times you get a long drift on a dry fly before drag sets in.
Fantastic!!
Not only the best fishing channel but always such beautiful music 👍
Hi James nice to see some proper fishing I'm sick to my teeth of carp carp carp every ones gone crazy about them . were did you say i can get some of those floats you used . Regards Trev .

Hi James yet another really nice and very very watchable video. I know you said it on this video but what is the split shot you use that doesn't generally damage the line? There's so many out there.
My idea of heaven. I'll have to move from Northern Ireland to England to get free postage on one of those rods.
Great video. Could you in future show the actual bites either hooked or missed? This would be helpful to beginners like me.

Extension legs on boxes or platforms with adjustable extension legs. Pretty commonplace for years.
