Nearly 4 years have passed... 3:20 is still one of the best endings of all time. Always come back to see that part
At 2:03 when Chris goes all in on the same riff with Cody and Seth. Yes.
Cody's voice is so freaking soothing on this record wtf

Wage War Bought it on Friday and it's amazing. You guys really did a great job and topped the first album which was already fantastic. I think you guys are easily one of the best metal bands to come out in recent years. Saw you guys on Warped tour I believe last year as well and you guys absolutely crushed it live. Excited to see what the future holds for you guys.

Felipe Euan G-F-A#-D#-G-C. It's like 7-string standard tuning (BEADGBE) tuned down two whole steps but the sixth string is removed.
I love it how you guys are playing drop G on a strat. If that's not badass in itself I don't know what is?

Brandon Maciel They use a 12-56 set but the 56 is replaced with an 80, so the lowest string can stay in tune for Drop A# and G (same as A# but only the lowest string is tuned down).

I heard he uses "not even slinky" strings mixed with some strings from a 8 strings set. So it would be 12-80 gauge. Does anyone know the gauge of the strings in between?

Fender Stratocaster? Wooww I didn’t see that coming 😉
Hey y’all guess what? This song slaps!
Does anyone know what bass that is I want a bass that has that classic look but punches you in the face out of nowhere
I'd prefer instruments only for a play through.
Wow😍😍😍😍😍😍
it's so fucking brutal guys, very well!!
TABSSSSSSSS
didnt know aaron gillespie was in wage war
please for the love of Pete do one of these for Low..... i would do about anything for that lol!
It makes perfect sense, but it's kinda funny to realize they must have filmed this the same day they filmed the music video. They're all wearing the same exact clothes as they are in the video. Like I said, makes sense, but kinda funny to notice.
No disdain playthrough?
Are we actually hearing them play or is it just the actual studio version playing over the video?
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I was found out what key are they using in this song and I can't believe why does a 6 guitar string can drop to G setting.... What size of string do they use?
@TeddyCat2007

12-56 but take out the 56 and put it an 80
Does anyone know what tuning the bass is in? I’m a bass player myself, I can’t figure out what he’d be tuned to on a four string bass that would allow such low notes without buzzing out or sounding muddy as hell on his E string.
@coltondonaldson433
6 жыл бұрын
You’d have to set your bass up to play that that. Much thicker strings, bridge saddle adjustments, but adjustments. Don’t go throw a pack of regular slinkies on there and drop down to G; literally nothing will happen.
@loganend8185

adam martin he's playing from low to high G F A# D#
Wish the bass was a bit more active
As plain Jane as a lot of their guitar work is, I highly suggest seeing Wage War live. These guys are one of the tightest live acts on tour right now and I highly suggest checking out a show.
@newag718
7 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't describe their playing as 'plain jane'. Stick to the acoustic there buddy.
@TobyKBTY
7 жыл бұрын
Well I still think it's a matter of perspective. Obviously this isn't as technical as bands like....Within the ruins, Periphery, Animals as Leaders or even Unearth with all the solos and spidery-finger riffs and all. Most people might have an easier time learning Wage War songs compared to those other bands' song. That said, there's nothing wrong with not being super technical coz these dudes are heavy as hell and sound badass and I'd love to see them live.
@newag718
7 жыл бұрын
I guess I wasn't making that comparison immediately bc Wage War is a more traditional style of metal core with 'djent' or some technical elements. As opposed to making technical playing their entire focus such as Periphery or AaL. There is a pretty significant equipment difference between Wage and those bands also.. Wage is rocking 6 strings instead of 7 or 8 strings :). As a 6 string player myself I relate more to Wage's playing style because as you said, it will be easier for me to learn.. however, for instance right now 'The River''s time signatures and palm muting rhythm has me progressing a very slow rate lol.
2mins is the section most guitarists wanna see
Really good but Jeremy producing means parts of new album sounds like adtr. Especially few breakdowns
I BURY THE JUDGMENT!!!!!

It's really all in the humbuckers and strings, you can play metal on any solid body electric.
@MJPGuitar
7 жыл бұрын
Yup. It's the emg's and thicker strings. A proper setup too, Such as truss rod adjustments, widening the nut, adjusting the springs.
@mets23569

VJ why would you say fender can do this kind of song? I'm a drummer but guitars have always interested me. Is a fender not supposed to play this kind of music compared to an ESP or Epiphone?
@MJPGuitar
6 жыл бұрын
Ruuddeeyy there's a common misconception that strats aren't typically used for higher gain tones like this. But it's proven over and over again that they can be, no problem. It's all about the player, and the setup of the instrument.
@mets23569
6 жыл бұрын
Is it because strats in the past have been used for more generic rock bands rather then something more heavy? And I assume its the tune and drop of the guitar correct?
Is it just me or this mix sound amazing on cellphones?
