LYRICS:
I run away from everything that's good for me
When every voice that you hear is the same one, all you can think to do is run
Make no mistake, I'm everything I say I hate
Hypocritical, lost individual, no longer worth your faith.
I know I can be better than this
Masquerading has never done me justice
I am what I am
A boy not yet the man that I want to be
Despite what I have led you to believe.
I'm nothing as I seem, no ground beneath my feet.
I can't seem to get away from me.
This person in the mirror’s not the same one that I want to be
Is there more than what I see?
Sometimes it's hard to let go, when I don't know what lies in front of me.
Get away from me
Death to self is much easier said than done
Pain is what has set me free
I had to go through hell, to find what's best in me.
Still think I can be better than this
Despite the weight that is my conscience
Life was never fair
But I am never broke beyond repair
Still searching for any place that I can call my home. And even though I'm lost, I know I'm not alone.
If I could change myself, I would
But I don't know where to begin
My grave is mine to dig.

This track is just too great. That last breakdown and those lyrics are highly reminiscent of what it's like falling down a nihilist path. Putting this one up there as one of their best ones

I never thought beautiful would be a word to describe a breakdown but the ending was just so heartfelt and well, beautiful. One of the best tracks on the record.
"I had to go through hell to find what's best in me" damn man that's heavy
Going through a hard time in my 4 year (18-22) relationship been deep in love sense high school we’ve decided to take a break to work on our selves because we both lost part of us that made us so great in the beginning I hope 🤞 we are making the right decision yesterday I started up pandora & this was the first song that came on it’s my new favorite song & I can’t stop listening to it man wage war is a master of there craft album is beautiful thank you 🙏🏻
the chorus on this song has stuck with me the most out of the whole album I think - I find myself singing it almost everyday at work haha

man i kinda see it as.. well i keep running from the lord , or falling back in sin. my grave is mine to dig. humans have this recurring cycle of getting stuck sometimes.. but i get this feeling because of the lyrics ( even though ,im lost i know im not alone.) and the death to self part.. give me this idea that yeah man , we are all sinners.. and if we keep it up without repentance.. "my grave is mine to dig" jesus loves you man !
Damn the last set of lyrics hit so hard. By far my favorite song off the album and my favorite album this year! Great job guys! If I could change myself I would But I don't know where to begin My grave is mine to dig My grave is mine to dig If I could change myself I would But I don't know where to begin
I'm going to have a cleft pallet from having this long of a constant stank face
Probably my favorite song off the album. This or disdain 🤔
>Guitar starts >Fuck yeah >Lyrics starts >start to accurately describe me >.......Fuck
I think this is one of those sneaky hits off this album. I've found this is the one I've been listening to the most so far. Well worth the money
Another of my favorite songs off the album. Cant stop playing this one

I worked as a stagehand for these guys a couple weeks ago. I had never heard of them before but decided to stick around for the show anyways. They put on a great show and their whole crew was super cool and easy to work with. After that experience I'm definitely a fan.
I love this album more than I love myself.

if you like this, you'll love their first album Blueprints just as much. It's so fucking good.
I hope their clean vocalist does something similar to Aaron Gillespie from Underoth when he made The Almost so he could do an alt rock album that was all clean vocals, cause this guy would kill that he is underrated when compared to the screamer and a great vocalist
2:58 hits pretty hard love this band

Is it me or does the melodic guitar riff at the end of this song sound similar to the ending melodic riff of Gideons "Gutter" ?

Best. Song. On. The. Album.
Still my favorite song in the album
Moar Wage War for the soul

Whenever this comes on shuffle I think it’s old Erra until I look at the name lol
The entire album is a banger but this song is the fucking tits.
a girl I was really interested noted this was her song... it has an entirely different meaning after what happened between us. people, don't let music justify your shitty actions. this is about wanting to change, but YOU have to actually change otherwise you'll be listening to this one day wondering where it all went wrong. and the answer is right in front of you.
