This song is all goosebumps! Heavyness to the extreme!! One of the most brutal breakdowns ever written! It's ridiculous!!!
He makes it look so easy! So freaking effortless! Everyone in this band is so talented!!!!
The guitar work in this song is just so dope!
Awesome job Seth! You make it look so easy. Keep up the awesome work!
I love when we get a solo from wage war songs they’re rare but always amazing
Absolutely phenomenal Seth absolutely love that song
I would literally just walk around playing that intro riff all day. 🔥👑👑
I saw them live with slipknot and it honestly was a life changing experience and I couldn't apricate any more than this band being them they honestly help me wake up everyday now and in my own music I couldn't ask more but to keep the dope shit up!
Hell yeah brotha! Love that solo!

The orange Jazz master is absolutely out of left field and so cool. Absolutely hammering breakdown.

Nothing makes this much Metalcore with that Unicorn in the back... Hell yeah the riffs really sounded like I'm being attacked by a Croc.

Question for the guitar nerds: how does he make the high pitched sounds 1:50? Is it an effect or something added in post production?
@thegodphreaker

it's a sweep and also an octaver / heavy palm mute on high notes / high natural harmonics

At 1:50 what effect is used sound pitch but the there is a different effect over it or something maybe a. Octaver?
@iliev93
2 жыл бұрын
It sounds like a pitch shifter pedal, probably just a Digitech Whammy or if it's a plugin the pitch shifter in Archertype: Gojira is super good, you can definitely create that effect.

@logancabianca5915
2 жыл бұрын
Drop A# for the tuning. Suprised it's not lower.
The best part about this is the fact he's used that guitar for a long time and you can 100% tell. The rusty screws keeping the pickups in, the pickups are worn, the grey foam muting the ringing by the nut instead of buying a strap to put there, and even the bridge is rusty. It's good to see this level of humble in the guitar world for a change, instead of just a brand new guitar that's never been used. This is a real guitarist's guitarist.

I don't get how so many people think this is even close to ATB Behold the Crown. Other than both riffs having pinch harmonics there's no similarity. Death Roll is also way heavier across the board. Love this track, so gnarly.

It’s a Jim Root signature jazz master so look up the scale for that. And they most likely use 12-62 Mammoth Slinkies from Ernie Ball. They’re perfect for this tuning (Drop A#). They do use 12-56 as well so maybe they use those too.
