No because he didn’t state he wanted a double waffle which is $1 extra and always has been for years at Waffle House. If you don’t tell them you want a double waffle they will be assholes and charge you for a whole other waffle which is like $5-$6 dollars. Waffle House is my second favorite restaurant of all time so I KNOW this for facts. Been getting the double waffle since I first started going to Waffle House in 2012.

Exactly that’s what I said in the top comment you have to say you want a double waffle then it’s just a dollar extra but these employees be knowing that but want to be assholes and charge you the whole waffle and you have to correct they ass when they get the ticket. And depending if they get an attitude even if it’s slight is how much i will not TIP them. I had a b🐕‍🦺tch charge me a dollar extra for a regular waffle then a dollar for the double waffle totaling $7 so I didn’t TIP her shit because when I asked her she lied and said they raised the prices which wasn’t true. Whenever I get not good enough service i just TIP $5 but when I come back and they do better than before since they actually see that I tip I tip them $10 and if they give sincere above and beyond service that I can tell isn’t fake and feigned Ill surprise they ass with a $20 TIP because I’m a nice person like that but if I see they’re giving flat out horrible service and don’t want to serve me then I don’t tip shit and that’s how it’s supposed to be when your service is DOOKIE.

Waffle House has only went up a few times over the years, my second favorite restaurant so I know. It ain’t that bad though they use to be super cheap back in the day. I remember the chicken biscuit was $3 now it’s $6 and the waffles was like $3-$4 now they’re $5

It could be a couple reasons. One different franchise owners different prices. Two different neighborhoods different prices. Three $20.00 for Breakfast is ridiculous covering labor costs. Experienced cashiers hooked You up or skimming from the register.

What did you do with all that food and how much did you tip? BTW, Waffle House now adds a 10% surcharge for togo orders for the server, plus the 10% togo fee. They are just now posting that policy in the store. I discovered it months ago when I looked closely at my receipt.

It’s sometimes how you say your order some people are new and don’t know how to ring it up or sometimes it’s the location it’s supply and demand. So if it sells more in a certain location they will charge you more the owners not the employees. It’s pretty smart I think because the regulars come often and the owners bank regardless.

Yeah I agree, Franchised prices are different from company owned. Another thing could be sales tax, in my state different counties have their own sales tax percentage....

I use to work at Waffle House and each store wasn’t the same. Some had the same prices but different taxes so people thought we were charging different prices.

I don't know if this is rare. I shop at 2 different wal-marts that are 40 minutes apart and the prices are different. I also have a friend who is a GM for an O'Reilly Auto Parts location who says he has the ability to change prices based on the market for his location...if they can charge more and people are willing to pay it...they will. I'm guessing thats how it works.

Nah Waffle House is a down south thang first of all and I grew up back n forth between both South Central Los Angeles and Las Vegas. And Vegas wouldn’t be able to charge $60 for it not even on the strip they’d probably add $3 to everything though.

Prices in Virginia are extremely inconsistent 😅

I’m in Atlanta but an all star is $11.50 without any add ons (cheese, onions, extra eggs, etc) a waffle by itself is $4.75. So that’s 16.25 already. Waffle House down here also charges a 20% to-go fee (10% for the server, 10% for Waffle House) so that’s $3.25 for the fee. That’s $19.50 total, so the $19.20 is the closest to that.

Yes, the totals from the Waffle House are often inconsistent because the waiting staff is adding the food up without a calculator or register. Often they will disregard what the menu states and breakdown the All Star as separate items which means different prices!! Oh and many were calling the order wrong. My friend was a area manager there and she always complained that the staff miscalculated when analyzing the tickets. & the prices are always different for that reason store to store.

I think they have different taxes bracket like in California every city in California got a different taxes bracket

It’s the additional waffle. From what I heard of you ask for additional waffle you have to say in the same container so it’s cheaper vs putting waffle in separate container

I used to work there here in huber heights ohio back in the mid 90s....they are franchises so depending on who owns those franchises they determine what the prices will be according to their area of those locations.To be fair that was in the 90s so that couldve changed.

Whats crazy is I say the same shit about the mcdonald's in our city (Gastonia which is down the rd from Charlotte) but I'm guessing what zone the establishment is in if it's in an affluent part of the city, or a more middle class or lower that it might fluctuate prices. I just believe unless you're a franchisee the original company should have the sane prices in the stores, hell if I'm being honest even the ppl that's the franchisees should too be its all under the same company name!
