Wacom One Pen 13.3" Display Review
Ғылым және технология
Lisa Gade reviews the Wacom One, the company’s entry level 13.3” pen display with a Wacom EMR battery-free pen that supports 4,096 pressure levels and 60 degrees of tilt. Intended for budding artists, photo editors on the go, and note-takers, the $399 pen monitor has a matte full HD 1920 x 1080 display, built-in 19 degree legs (stand) and it supports Mac, Windows and Android. The Wacom One DTC133 is separate from the Cintiq line and is Wacom’s smallest pen display.

@@mikrobyo1790 i vouch for wacom's quality. I've had huion pen displays and they suck balls. It may look premium but the build quality is terrible (display separating from the tablet body, buttons suddenly not working, pen also stopped working for no reason, etc.). Huion drivers are also terrible.
I just discovered this existed today and, lo and behold, my favorite tech reviewer just happens to post a review!
This is such a refreshing tech review! It's so nice to see a review that actually remains objective, when you're saying positives or negatives I don't feel any sense of sway. Just "Yeah, this is how this is." It leaves it up to the consumer to hear the facts and decide for ourselves. So, so nice and such a breath of fresh air. Thank you so much!!

Wacom have abused their position way to long. Drawing tablets could have been much more common if they hadn't kept their prices inflated all this time. The cheapest XP pen drawing tablet today is better than that expensive Wacom based Tablet PC I bought over 10 years ago.

Thanks for the review. I have been juggling spending twice as much on an ipad pro. This looks great for my entry level needs. You have a new sub. Bless you!!
Lisa your reviews are FANTASTIC. It's your little sidebars that show that you are a REAL user. The Dex sidebar was fascinating...this is EXACTLY the kind of thing I would try. On one of your other recent reviews you joked that the Surface Book 2 click was like yelling "CLICK"... I LOL'd cuz I'd just had the same experience earlier in the day.

I myself have a Wacom CintiQ 13HD that I got used last spring. It was barely used and all the boxes and all were in place and I absolutely love it. It is relatively light weight as well just a bit older and costs a bit more. I do love the fact it has a bunch of customisable buttons.

@@T1tusCr0w Paralax is overrated as hell. If people can get used to drawing on a regular tablet while looking on their monitor, then people can also get used to having 0.1 cm distance between the pen tip and the screen. Why would anyone want to pay a few hundred bucks extra just to not have this 0.1 cm paralax, lol. Thats idiocy at its best.

I’ve the same one cintiq pro is way better. “One” is a very watered down version. It’s like those cheap intuos with a decent screen attached. Cintiq pro’s screen has lot more brightness and color. It’s even worse than last years cintiq 16(no pro). If you’re serious about art intuos pro is better option than this in that same price point. The only complain about cintiq is it has lots of cables.

Nice Review there!! But I still have one question: What are the differences between the Wacom One Pen and a Cintiq (no matter the size)? From what I see in your review, it would be the different pen and its fewer pressure levels, the no-touchscreen, the size, the better contrast / brightness and the additional buttons on the Cintiq. Am I right? Did I forget something?
Planning on grabbing one of these for TAFE. Just so I can mind map better than I can on paper.
Is the luminosity set to medium-low on purpose or should I expect such weak backlight? I work in a well illuminated environment, I wouldn't wanna have to squint my eyes to see. :/ (I know it's a common problem on Cintiqs, as you said)
*Looks at EMR ancient thinkpad* "yes"
I own this but I really need to a compatible extension cable because the X shaped cable isn't long enough. Can't find anything online. Could you please suggest me something?
1:04 It uses what I believe was called "Wacom Feel IT" at one point, and so, it'd be interesting to see how it fares with various third-party "Feel IT" compatible pens (once they start landing in the hands of actual customers), like the Boox black pen and reMarkable Marker.

Have you reviewed the Lenovo yoga A940?
Wondering between getting this or spending a bit ($150 more) for the tab s7 for art
May I ask if i can download google app using this tablet too ,sorry I’m very new with Wacom product
Aside from the cross-compatibility with my Bamboo Feel pen and the cross-compatibility with Android, it seems it's not that much of an upgrade over my Cintiq 13HD. Still, finally a somewhat worthy competitor to the HUION and XP-PEN offerings. They finally responded like they should've YEARS ago. Give them a cookie.
I just bought a Wacom one. Tried drawing in photoshop but the lines are broken, like if i draw a simple straight line, it'll be broken in multiple places. I don't know what the problem is. Can you please help me with this. Its so frustrating.
Would one of the Wacom cintiq pens with an eraser on the back work with this?
Is it as dim as it looks on video ?
Advice for those who use Wacom One + Windows 10 . Make sure your display is set to 100% and not 150% (in windows settings). This will make the image clear and free up screen space.
If you were to recommend a tablet of this type and in this price range, which one would it be?
This or Huion Kamvas Pro 13? Better pen experience or better screen?
Gottavget myself one of these
What usbc mini did you use?
Hmm...honestly, for a beginner on a budget, I'd probably suggest the Huion H610 pro over this. It's not a pen display like this is, and not as big; you're gonna lose about 3" of the working area and you have to look at the screen of your laptop screen while you draw on it..but it's about $350 cheaper, has 4000 more levels of pressure sensitivity, has 8 shortcut keys, the pen has two programmable buttons on it, and it's a joy to draw on. Fits right in my laptop bag. All that said, even if you're a beginner, if your budget is much higher (or if you're lucky enough to have a gift request filled by a loved one), you really can not beat the speed, size, non-existent parallax, and overall quality of the iPad Pro in conjunction with the Procreate app and the Apple pencil. This is the ULTIMATE in terms of portable digital art devices. The 10.5" model is about $50 more than this Wacom tablet, and once you factor in a $100 for the pencil and $10 for the app, you're looking at a $560 investment BUT it's more portable, doesn't require you to be connected to a PC or Macbook to power it, and you can do a lot more than just draw on it. Glad to see Wacom at least attempting to develop devices for people who AREN'T professionals with thousands of dollars to spend, and this is a good start..but keep going guys. Don't drop anchor here.
Really interested to see how this would compare to the iPad 7th gen.
How about the palm rejection? Could you specify?
Would you buy this or cheapest ipad+apple pencil 1
I noticed exceptional pen lag during a few of your included video clips. I understand that this product is "just" $400 dollars but my $230 dollar iPad 6th gen (A10 ARM chip set) with Apple's gen 1 pencil stylus exhibits ALMOST zero lag in iPadOS applications. I would go so far as to state that using my MacBook Air (2018 retina version) with this iPad tablet in SideCar extended display mode and projecting macOS Photoshop on the iPad would be more cost effective AND a better display experience than this Wacom One product for macOS users.

@17curiosity17

Many people blame such lag on the tablet, that's a very common myth. Such lag is produced by the computer/laptop/phone that's running the tablet, e.g. because the pc is struggling with Photoshop, running too many background processes, or running a resource intense application like a screen recording. These tablets themselves, including the Wacom One, doesn't usually produce any noticable lag. :)
@Kittsuera
4 жыл бұрын
that's not pen lag that is the smoothing option in photo shop. its set to 10% the ipad OSs applications likely do not have that option.
it has to be connected to some other device necessarily?
that is so cool how it can run off android! finally a mobile setup for an affordable price! but the brightness is a small let down.

But in all honesty I’d recommend the xp-pen 15.6 artist pro, it’s $300 on amazon and is amazing for the price. Only fault it has is the stand. The stand is cheap so you might wanna but a different one.
