It's crazy just how much Minecraft parallels real life technological advancements. Years ago, upon the advent of redstone, people started creating basic machines and games, such as the Game of Life (saw it years ago before even biomes were introduced), and then pistons were added, increasing what we were capable of. Piston doors, conveyor belts, hidden crafting benches. And now, ten years later, people are still finding ways to further the technological advancements. Huge item sorting systems, many different kinds of plant and mob farms, and now we are on the cusp of portal mechanics I'm sure the developers hadn't even thought of. It's truly amazing how human ingenuity just... creates.

There is ways to do this with normal tnt instead of the minecarts but I dont thing anyone has made a tutorial yet. Your last example turns out to be just what I might need for a large public server. I am planning a labyrinth, "monty haul" dungeon crawl, that would allow new players to acquire half way decent starter gear. It will feature lots of hidden rooms and passages, controlled wandering monsters as well as 'room' monsters guarding treasure chests. Till now I was planning on just having a big mob spawner above the whole contraption with strategic drop zones to hopefully put the correct number of mobs into the room at the right pace. (Creepers would be filtered out by cats tethered nearby.) I may have to rethink that and use your idea to channel in specific types and quantities on command. It will be a lot more complex than my brain can usually handle, but I am hoping that smarter people than me will be around to help with this community project. Liked and subbed.

i actually found an obsidian duping method with this. 1. place TNT in the nether. 2. ignite the TNT and go back into the overworld before it blows up 3: toss something into the portal 4: wait for the TNT to blow up 5: go back in, and there will be a whole new portal built for you along with your old portal, meaning you got free obsidian.

All the things he said are exactly how I think about the game, but I couldn't possibly come up with these ideas myself. Creativity really is key.
