WA.NT Trip Pt. 7 | Lake Argyle | Losing The Boat

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

After a fantastic time in the Northern Territory, we cross back into the home state of Western Australia.
First up we visit one of Australia's largest dams, Lake Argyle. Really it should be called an inland sea because of its size, holding an impressive 10 000 gigalitres of water.
Lake Argyle Caravan Park is beautifully situated on the side of a hill with an outlook on the immense water expanse. Situated where the workers camp was during the construction of the dam.
Another attraction to check out when in the area is the Durack Homestead Museum.
Lake Arygle Cruises operate on the dam with several cruises available to experience the dam and swim with the estimated 35 000 fresh water crocodiles, or hire a self drive dinghy.

We use lots of water for fracking here in West Texas too. Smarter to take it from a lake than to pump it up from underground like us!

Quite an adventure and still more to come. Loving every minute of it. We did the JJJ sunset cruise from Kununurra to the dam wall so it was great to see more of the other side.

Great video Michael. I went out to Lake Argyle in back in January, temperatures reached 49 degrees, just a little chilly that day 😜. The Kimberly’s is an awesome part of the world.

Seek adventure living the Australian dream! Another great upload Michael. It’s disgraceful how jealous I am of your adventures lol. Love the footage on the water, was this stop planned as part of your trip or too much time behind the wheel force you to stop? Well done again on a top upload and enjoy the rest of your week mate Thanks again
