I like how in this rendition its more comedic and rom-com, the characters are more enthusiastic and its a more outward conversation. Meanwhile, Jenna and Drew's version feels more conflicted and both characters feel like they are in they are in their heads more.

Wow, Bryan Fenkart is absolutely fantastic! He's been the only other Pomatter I've seen that seems to capture the endearing awkwardness that Drew Gehling established, but he's done it in a way that makes it completely his. (Many other actors seem to be trying too hard to hit the comedic beats and/or try to make him suave.) What great chemistry these two have!

2:42 How are we not talking about this
"Hold me tight as I tell myself that you might make sense and make good what has been just so bad" might be one of the absolute best lines from any musical ever.
I saw Drew Gehling and Katherine McPhee do this one day before closing and WOW their chemistry on stage was so crazy. At 2:56, the way she went in for it was so solid and at 4:22 they full made-out again ahhhh. Considering the show was closing the next day, none of the actors cared and literally went WILD in every scene (especially Christopher Fitzgerald as Ogie, had me DYING) it was incredible.

You wouldn't know it from this clip, but Desi is literally the nicest and kindest person you will ever meet on this planet.
LOVED this performance, it's so refreshing to see actors make the song and characters their own instead of trying to do a perfect imitation of other casts' performances. Sometimes I see other actors in the parts and feel like they're just reciting lines to get to the songs but Desi and Bryan make it seem like a natural, real conversation. LOVED THIS.
Dr. Pomatter is so good in this. He’s ALWAYS my favorite character but this one really sells it.
These two have fantastic chemistry!
Bryan slipping off the bed at the start makes me giggle
