W211 Mercedes E500 Exhaust: Muffler Delete + J-pipe, Night Drive

This is my 2005 Mercedes E500 with a straight-pipe exhaust system. Resonators deleted and replaced with an x-pipe, rear mufflers deleted and replaced with custom 29inch j-pipes, and quad AMG-style tips. All catalytic converters still in place. Car sounds incredible and the j-pipes eliminate 100% of the interior drone. Very comfortable and relatively quiet interior, ridiculously loud exterior.
This video represents a mix of normal and spirited accelerations to give you an idea of what this exhaust sounds like from inside the car. Windows open for most of the video, but there is a section with the windows closed.

how much did all the modifications cost?
Where are your J pipies welded in? I just straight piped my E500 with the a resonator delete and X pipe and the drone is horrible.

tischlerbmw21 J pipes should be where mufflers used to be.

Do you really have no drone at any RPM? Just did a j pipe with 3 inch exhaust and I eliminated the drone at 1500 but still get at 1900, I can hear that you have drone at 1200 rpm? Or is it just the video?

Christian Vujasić 2 lata temu I tought to ge one from 2004, 306 hp, but scared that repare bills will eat me alive.. maybe e350 2007 would be better alternative..?
what is the fuel consumption? mine is 20l\km in the city

Christian Vujasić They are both fairly reliable but the e350 will make our sad face the first time you try and race an e500 and get smacked

Exposed CBV Nice! Give my channel a look see, I post a lot about mine and actually addressed that exact topic. From what I have read and watched there is a droning noise at cruising speeds. I personally haven’t because I drive a lot and appreciate the lack of noise that Mercedes worked so hard to engineer lol. I am going to end up doing a valved exhaust (electronic cutouts) so the car will have a split personality, like me 😂. That’s my opinion but for a cheap v8 soundtrack the straight pipe is always an option, just no off switch aside from welding back in your old muffler.

Cmon my guy I have had a e500 06 and for a year and all I have had done was turn signal changed, oil changes and brake pads put in it had been very reliable
