Pretty sure this is MiniDV and not VHS in case someone is interested in replicating it. I totally agree btw. The texture of MiniDV footage is still fairly popular with skateboarding filmmakers.

3:25 This clip really encapsulates what time it was into this video. Right now these same cars go for a couple hundred thousand, or at least in the high 10,000s. But back then these cars just came out, and they were 500,000 - 2,000,000 yen, which is 5,000 - 20,000 USD. You see them with broken headlights/ tail lights, ripped off bumpers, and drifting still with sparks flying out one of the tires. Really just shows how different the times were. The same cars would be put on auctions now.. Insane.

Alexi was on the editorial team for High Performance Import Magazine back in the early 2000's. If you search KZread all of the old DVDs are on a channel called Otomotocomau

A few months ago I asked you on Instagram to do a street drifting video and you replied that you couldn’t do it because it’s illegal and it wouldn’t be good for the channel but now it’s here and you’ve figured out a way to do it you’re awesome alexi

I love the progression of the clips, quick cut to some damage, then goin to the next spot. 3:19 "Oh hey this looks good" - everyone gets a turn. 4:03 settin up shop. 4:06 little party train, make some stink
