That's a fact! 👍 I've seen the most amazing documentaries over the last few years on KZread. They didn't have the biggest budget- but they had a good camera, they were adept at photography and editing, and they had the nerve to get out there and get some great footage. Produced a beautiful documentary, often on subjects I've never seen covered.

KZread has replaced Travel Channel, Comedy Central, Food Network, Discovery Channel, History Channel, and Nat Geo with more specific, personable, and niche interests and personalities.

Agree. There are some very good content creators here. And if you're interested in history or food or travel, there's really a lot to choose from. I don't even watch those television channels - but will sometimes watch some of the content creators here working with those topics...because it's so well done.

You can watch documentary channels on KZread now that really give you the vibe of how the History and Discovery channels were back in the 90s and 00s. Real well researched stuff, not overproduced talking heads on shows about ancient aliens. And there’s tons of them, so if you don’t like one or you think it’s biased, there’s 20 others you can check out. TV is corny and dead.

I am 90% sure that Conan would binge watch this one guy on youtube with a channel called Tasting History with Max Miller, he basicly takes a historical event and investigate what they ate and then make it, e.g what was the first meal people who came to Ellis Island ate in the early 1900.

This interview is fantastic. Love W. Kamau Bell.

Don't get it twisted; KZread is full of legit knowledge and if you don't see it you need to click different things.

You got it. My friend said you could practically teach yourself how to do brain surgery from KZread. Somewhat of an exaggeration. But still - there is so much real information.

It’s a platform that facilitates high information, narrow target audience content. Just like cable television enabled niche channels that cater to more specific viewer interests, KZread provides even more niche programming, which is great for topics that one might be educated in, and mainstream media is too elementary to satisfy them.

Sona could still get in the jab even speechless.

@@francescaa8331 its how i have spent my pandemic forward. cancelled cable. uk panel shows are tearfully funny... but i am proud comedy nerd and TM and horne has singlehandedly opened my eyes to the world of standup, not just US like i was surrounded by.

Conan needs to get Andrew Rea on the show and he can say he was introduced to Binging With Babish from W. Kamau Bell.

I'm like Conan cause I've always made music much like him but I learned how to make today's music and specific genres from the thousands of creators on here all just a keyword away, that's how I use KZread almost daily, the other half is like W Kamau Bell where it was just playing for a minute and then here's 4 hours later and I gotta know how it ends

At this point youtube provides actual tv. Most of my subscriptions are 3-12 hour videos of Saturday morning cartoon broadcasts from the nineties, they even have the old commercials. If you miss classic tv, its on youtube. Tv in the last decade has been absolute garbage
