I think for my opinion the character is most realistic is still in film by stephen chow,that called "journey to the west:conquering demon"2013 movie😏😌

my favorite thing about sun wukong's weapon is he literally barged into the home of one of the dragon emperors, asked for a weapon, and as a mocking joke they just gave them a measuring stick they used for measuring how deep the deepest part of the ocean was, and he just went "ok, cool." lifted it up, and willed it to shrink and it did. and the dragon emperor just went "wait, you weren't supposed to do that." and sun wukong just... left after also tricking their blacksmiths to make him powerful armor. all within the span of 10 minutes.

this is also a common trend for him. gods try to screw him over because he is to them a "mere monkey demon" and he defies the expectation and logic. like how he literally told the god of death to "fuck off" because they tried to claim his soul early, so out of spite he crossed his name out of the book of death, meaning his soul can never be claimed. effectively making him immortal, then he ate and drank everything relating to immortality and rebirth he could find just because he was mocked for only having one small lifespan by a single god.

I know right. He steals the Peaches of Immortality. He steals some Booze of Immortality. Then I think some alchemist's Pills of Immortality. Like how can you be triple immortal? Maybe there's different levels of immortality or something? I don't know.

@jonathanprince707 in this mythology immortality does have some limits like an immortal could kill an immortal or they're weak to something very specific by layering them wukong effectively covered every weakness he has 7 if I remember right

Sun Wukong is one of favorite mythological characters.

If only anime live-action got this level of CGI

out of all the staves, this one is my favorite, and makes the most sense for wukong to have.

Just imagine If a live action HunterXHunter, Naruto, Yuyu Hakusho(ghost fighter), Juuni Taisen, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Seven Deadly Sins get a dope CGI effects like this movie, it would be a hit!

Wukong is fast so even if he did wukong would be able to dodge that attack. Besides, in the mythology,he's said to be able to move around the whole world with just one leap

As VFX designer chinese movie's vfx is getting better but the CGI looks and frames are little bit akward. But!! Still can't deny how china vfx have been grown so well

At first the cgi was kinda bad but in the end ITVWAS INCREDIBLE....WE NEED MORE MOBIES LIKE THIS

it's not that it's bad. it's different, and you're not used to it, and it feels weird.

i see monkeyking, i click. I see good choreography, i like.

This movie warms my heart.

The best live action anime movie I’ve seen was the Rurouni Kenshin movies.

This is outside of the box from the original journey to the west. Er lang was the only other God that came close to beating Sun Wu Kung. Buddha himself gave Wu Kung a lesson with just his palm. However awesome action and graphics.

Buddha outsmarted the monkey king.. if it was just a fierce battle face to face that would have had an interesting end also the monkey king was supposed to be the intelligent monkey for which he got outsmarted by Buddha.

What's to name of the movie

By far the best Monkey King CGI movie to date. They really brought up their game on this one.

The most epic battle off all time.. but i feels sad .. everytime i watch wukong movie,, he gonna lose every someone he love..

This is pretty close to what Sun WuKong 1st descripted. Yeung Chin is his strongest rival. And tin fung is strong too. But this only shows their fighting abilities. All 3 of them are smart too.

Isn't Wukong the Monkey dude with the staff...like Black Myth: Wukong and don't get me started with CGI quality of this movie...really fantastic.

Yeah except black myth wukong’s protagonist isn’t actually wukong, some theories actually said that he’s just another monkey sent by the heaven to start another journey to the west and I’m thinking eventually he had to fight Wukong which at this point has already become a fighting Buddha and sought to replace him as the next fighting Buddha.

Hollywood cgi the last 10-15 years has been so bad. Japanese cgi isnt good either. Chinese cgi has improved leaps n bounds.
