Yea she used to be a royal courtesan and she was considered a gem for her extraordinary beauty and exemplary dance skill. She was found under a mango tree by a gardener. She said she had no idea where she came from. The gardener informed the nobles and thus they named her Amrapali (mango maiden) 😭

The dance was really good. Authentic. Simple and beautiful. And people who have complain over the short dress. Let me tell u in ancient Bharat women were not treated as a sexual object. They were well respected. And even in some cases, females don't even cover their chest. And still, people respected that. Vyjayanthimala was the one who brought dancing into the movies and became the queen of dancers in Bollywood history. She is still holding her position as number one and the one who could not be matched.

This was actually a dance that Bollywood used to insert in movies . I don't know it turn to item songs . The camera is straightforwardly just pointed towards dance and feet rather than hips or belly Yea We are evolving But in backward direction

P.S: I am not shaming anyone who has cosmetic surgeries. Just marvelling at how extremely blessed these women were. A little jealous too😉

Ashish I give Bhansali credit for attempting beautifully complicated dance choreos, but the new crop of actresses, while certainly gorgeous eye-candy and adequate dancers, just do not have that wow factor for me. The ones that did are now 40 years and up, and mostly forgotten by the movie industry...

Old is gold, so attractive and beautiful dance 👍🙏

Well everything but expressions please. No one in real life actually uses expressions that strong. Its only for stages and even then its kind of off putting. But no comparison on dance, thrilling energy, absolute perfection.

Even she was considered as traitor while she was innocent. After the defeat of king, she said that she would no longer want to marry him.
