I think people get upset cause it seems to send a message that there's something 'wrong' with darker skin. Personally I'm not a fan of weaves either. But contacts and weaves are reversible, I'm not sure if bleaching is? Plus some bleaching agents have chemicals which damage your health over time. It's the same principal as excessive tanning. And at the end of the day what's sad, is people seem to be chasing someone else's idea of beauty, and worrying about what others think of them.

He look way better dark.that bleach looks too unnatural. He looks like a ghost it messed up his skin smh

my opinion on this is, if you want to bleach your skin, that's fine, cuz at the end of the day, it is yours. but the problem is, when your famous and you go bleaching your skin (knowing how media's like towards dark skinned people in general), your not sending the right message towards ur dark skinned fans. with fame comes power and with power comes influence. I bet a lot of insecure fans will feel more comfortable bleaching their skin now, rather than being proud of their beautiful brown skin.

I love kartel but he know damn well cake soap didn't make him "browner". Cake soap was originally made for washing clothes -_- not sure how that would bleach your skin.

I recently arrive back from Canada and I'm from the UK. I club a lot and mix with dancehall heads and I also DJ. VYBZ KARTEL fan base is HUMMONGUS. This issue wit di bleaching has not seen sells fallen for Vybz infact they are increasing and his fan base is continuing to grow. Kartel is thinking BIG. You maybe shocked he bleaches but he has successfully grab your attentiion and especially those who has never heard of him who are not dancehall heads. This is how advertisment works.
